This hotel is great if you like the beach. Directly opposite the Pier and beach. Literally over the road. Everyone is so friendly the staff cant do enough for you. The meals were excellent, lots to choose from. Rooms all comfortable. Would recommend. Nightly entertainment, singers all great, danced all night.

Room Tip: Pay extra to get a sea view with Balcony you can sit out and watch the sea and sunsets

I stayed for 2 nights while having a wonderful time at the IOW festival.
The staff were all good in particular the young lady that checked me in on Sat. The hotel was clean enough and the location is real nice.
The Hotel is very very dated and shabby in a lot of areas, also the free wi fi that works only in the lobby is unreliable and slow when it works.
In its present condition I would stay some elsewhere,if money was spent on updating etc.
I would stay here and even pay a little more .

Thank you for taking the time to write your review.

We are trying to upgrade the internet but it is proving difficult within this Victorian building. As mentioned before upgrading is on going and as we are always so busy, it does take longer than we would like. Glad you had a great time on the Island for the festival.

This hotel is a great location if you love the beach! Super sandy beach seconds away from hotel with a fantastic pier directly opposite! This hotel also benefits from a pool & hot tub! Very good prices for both single & family rooms or a room with a sea view! Although we never ate hear they do provide breakfast & dinner as an extra optional choice however we found the times a bit inconvenient as breakfast only served between 8.30-9.30am. However there are many café`s nearby all serving breakfast all day! Staff are very helpful however if your travelling during summer time the single rooms can get very humid! Otherwise an all round super hotel!

Room Tip: Single rooms can get humid during summer times, bar do live entertainment can be noisy until 11pm!

I booked a last minute getaway on the hottest May bank hols since records began. I looked at the pics on trip advisor but did not read any reviews. The pics looked ok and the price was great so booked the family room
Our stay was not at all disappointing and this hotel seems to be stuck in a bit of a time warp but in such a charming way, staff were amazingly helpful, the rooms were spotless and welcoming (even if the decor was 70’s) the breakfast was plentiful
I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and this is from someone who usually only goes for a full 5 stars and exceptional services/facilities
Be aware - only 4 channels on tv, no hair dryer (unless u hire one), the “live” entertainment is basic and no card payments in public bar - but there is in hotel
The hotel is on sand down beach exactly opposite the pier and perfect for a weekend away

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Just to confirm the Hairdryers are available at reception for a small refundable deposit when returned. The tv's are in the process of being upgraded and hopefully this will be completed soon.

We are very lucky to be in such a stunning location for a perfect break as you pointed out. Thank you once again.

A step back in time

Part of a Just Go bus tour. Hotel staff friendly. Dated decor. Mini lift max 2. Bedroom was clean and compact. Miss matched old flat pack furniture with loose drawer fronts. Aged mattress. Refurbished shower room but no shelf for toiletries and no hooks. £5 deposit to borrow a non-slip shower mat. Small colour TV had 4 channels. All meals were table service with one hour for breakfast and dinner. Booklet with the full weeks menus on the table. Breakfast was basic cereal and full English of a moderate standard. Dinner was limited choice each day. Portions not very generous but who would want to eat much of the over-cooked vegetables. Had the feeling the cook came from a 1970's council old people's home. No, I would not go there again. One for Alex P.

Room Tip: No sure it is suitable for disable travelers. Very small lift and limited access to some areas.
