This place is 1/2 way for me to meet my friend for lunch so we thought we would try it after reading other good reviews. It didn’t disappoint! A small but nice menu choice. I had a lovely coffee and chicken, bacon and avocado on sourdough (not many places serve sourdough) and my friend had homemade sweet potato soup we both enjoyed our food and the cosy surroundings! The only drawback is that there is no parking so we had to park at the nearby coop which was limited to an hour!

I had been here many times in the past but today was a review day lovely woman serving with not anything too much to ask, then the food was made fresh and the coffee well is the best I've had In a long time. Latte and hot chocolate where piping hot on a cold day what was needed! The baguettes we both had where very tasty and can tell where fresh served hot and again enough to make you warm on a winters day!plus the raspberry bakwell not another word is needed....can't wait to return keep it up

Orrell was desperate for a wine bar and along came The Bank. Not the biggest bar but certainly well set out and with very friendly staff. The settings are very sympathtic to the shape of the building and it's former use as a bank. Large Chesterfield type settees and rustic tables and stools provide a good degree of comfort.

Visited on a Saturday night with hubby at approx 7pm. A couple were leaving as we arrived making us the only customers. The staff were very friendly and assuring us it is usually busy. We had two glasses of wi e sat on a comfy sofa in the window watching the world go by. The premises are spotlessly clean.
I would definitely return.

Been several times to the old bank and really enjoyed myself. Love the atmosphere and decor. However, so disappointed this time. Ordered eggs benedict, as last week my friend had that and it looked gorgeous on a crusty baguette style bread, smoked salmon and 2 eggs. I got a pathetic half of a panini bread, poached salmon and 1 egg. Absolutely shocking and not impressed. If you don't have any smoked salmon you need to tell the customer. Won't be returning for food as clearly there is inconsistency. A shame but for the money you pay there I expect more consistency and better quality food as we had previously experienced.
