Me and my fiance needed some time in a quiet place to unwind and gave a stress-free stay in somewhere with a bit more quality than usual. Coincidence led us to see the hotel/B&B feature on Channel 4's Four In A Bed a decade ago which in viewing showcased some beautiful mezzanine rooms that we had to see for ourselves. Not let down at all!
We tend to get away a few times a year as we love to travel, personally over the years I've visited many hotels, cottages and holiday parks so I'm lucky to have a range of experiences over the years, so I like to try and choose wisely on where to take my fiance when we go anywhere for a few days. This is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed with certain elements of attention to detail I really appreciated. It was the perfect choice.
Positives are many, from the basics like a good bed and pleasant decor with bags of charm, to the bonus bits like the breakfast bags for anyone there for more than a couple of days. The supplies of tea and coffee were generous in the room, as was the supply of bread, various milks and cereals in the horse box, it was just the sort of quirky idea I love.

Outside the farm area was just charming and peaceful, a short walk up the road to some fields offers good views though I wouldn't recommend walking far due to the roads being windey and traffic driving a little quicker than ideal when you're a pedestrian. The views over Gateshead are wonderful though during the day but especially at night. Add to that the lights of passing aircraft and it's quite the scene.
We were gutted to have to leave as it was as peaceful as can be, it was a chance find location that was clearly meant to be for us and I'd happily return one day. We fully intend to!
If you're not local the roads close to it should be regarded as 15mph, thankfully it's not far to go but if you're not observant you could be caught out.
Thanks Emily by the way for greeting us when we arrived, allowing us a slightly early check-in which we were very pleased by. Park Farm is something you should rightly be very proud of.
Can't recommend enough!More
