Very warm and welcoming from the offset, stayed in the end room barn conversion which was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean!!
Breakfast was very nice and the service was first class!!
Would definitely recommend to family and friends, would happily return again as the whole experience was first class.

We found this place a few years back and would not stay anywhere else for our annual trip for the Great North Run. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, Emily and Neil are great, welcoming, helpful and make a mean cooked breakfast. Location is ideal, just off the A1 in a semi rural setting but within easy access by car to Gateshead, Newcastle, Metrocente etc. Rooms are spacious, we normally stay in a mezzanine room and they are comfortable and very clean, there is a plentiful breakfast selection of both hot and cold items. Plenty of nice places to eat which are just minutes away in the car or head into town for a huge selection of restaurants and bars.

We had a short break in the north east and stayed three nights . The owners (Neil and Emily) and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. We found the location ideal for touring around the North East . EVery thing about the accommodation was spotless and clean .The whole party would reccommend this facility
