I do generally like the food at the Bowes Incline but the last twice I've eaten there I've found the chips to be soggy. This time I asked for the chips to be served separately thinking that they would be nice and crisp. But no, yet again, limp and soggy. Apart from that, the chicken and leek dumpling was very nice - but please, nice crisp chips next time

Our stay was excellent all round and it would have been hard to better our experience From arrival to departure the service was excellent, the staff were just amazing, friendly and accommodating and Manager John was a refreshing breath of air. We just couldn’t find fault with any part of our stay and can’t wait to go back The food was excellent, tasty, plenty of it and served with a smile Just can’t recommend this delightful place enough

We had our first family reunion since the pandemic, 27 staying at the hotel and another 5 joining for the meals, to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday with her crowd of couples of children, grandchildren and great grandchild!
This took considerable organization and Jon made it his personal mission to help plan for the occasion to ensure everything ran like clockwork.
From the moment we arrived for the weekend Rebecca, Jon and the whole team went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them!
The accommodation was great, especially the newly refurbished rooms.
All on the flat, and included a room especially for people with disability.
The food was very large portions, (perhaps too large for some of us!) and the service was superb, despite these being so many of us!
We can't thank the team enough for helping make this the fantastic occasion it deserved to be!
