Decent location - other side of the river but not far from the station or town centre. Just across the river there is also a Witherspoon and A Hard Rock Cafe so somewhere to eat if you don't fancy the hotel.
Hotel has a large turning circle outside so no problem unloading your car. And they have their own underground car park - £14 a day.
The reception is grand and impressive. Everything is designed to look out over the river with large windows to enjoy the view.
Restaurant is the same - large and looking out over the river (which is quite a bit below you). There is also an area to site outside, would be loverly in the summer.
Breakfast was the usual hot and cold. They also had smoked salmon available which is unusual in my experience.
Room was large and decently appointed - again with a view over the river (we got an upgrade I assume you need to ask / pay additional for these rooms).
The shower was over the bath with a shower curtain - which isnt ideal but appreciate that only the smaller / more modern hotels have stand alone showers.
There was no fridge but there had been - which was disappointing.
We also accessed the Exec Lounge. Large and comfortable but not with the usual array of food and and alcohol choices I have experienced at Hilton's in London. Lastly, the staff were all great - very cheerful and engaging. More
