Fantastic service, delicious food and great choice of drinks. Friendly warm atmosphere in cosy surroundings. We had our annual get together here again last night and again had a wonderful evening. It was bus but that didn’t make any difference to the service ... everything was top quality. Thanks for making our night a good one!

I have my friend twice here on a weekend night in last couple of months.
We like it as it’s easy to park!
We’ve been greeted both times by very friendly staff.
It’s lovely and warm and has a lovely feel about it.
The food has been good, not fantastic.
But it’s decent quality,
The service is good.
Overall we will continue to meet up there.
We’ve been getting a takeout Sunday lunch chicken dinners now pretty much every week for 2 years and I can’t bear to think of a Sunday without it.
You get to eat a restaurant cooked meal at home and you have no pots and pans to worry about which is always a good thing but the food is consistently excellent and I have to say that the gravy is lovely. We both love it. Also love the pigs in blankets and of course the Yorkshire pudding
One thing I would say is that this is a restaurant cooked meal. It’s not a Toby carvery. Don’t expect a piled high plate. But you do get enough. It’s not a small portion
Staff are great too. Very friendly and very helpful. This goes for both front of house and chef and the kitchen staff.

Went here last night fur a 3 course set Meal. The food was nice but very small portions. I had 3 small slices of cheese for cheese section on dessert. I know things are hard but if felt this was really scrimping in things. Over all ok if you want done nice food at decent price.
Hotel is immaculately clean, staff are friendly and efficient.
I booked a party for 100 people , which is an ideal number for the size of the hotel. the buffet food was superb, excellent selection and quality.
Great having the disco at one end , so loads of places to sit quietly if desired in the lounge , conservatory and dining room.
The guests who stayed overnight said the rooms were lovely and breakfast was very nice., service was great.
I would really recommend this hotel for an event , I was delighted with the service from start to finish. It’s not the cheapest venue but you get what you pay for , quality.
We will be back for a meal sometime soon as the restaurant menu is fabulous and I look forward to sampling their very nice Malbec again too.
We stayed here for two nights, our first and certainly not our last visit.
It was built as 2 large Victorian Villas around 1880, and is now one large hotel with 18 individually designed rooms, large gardens
Our room was comfortable and nicely presented with a walk in shower. (Which we had specifically requested)
Staff were friendly, the majority have been working here for many years. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice of hot and cold food. The croissant's after my ‘full English’ were particularly tasty.
There is a large lounge and bar with plenty of seating.
We stayed here because it was only a short drive to Beamish Open Air Museum and even shorter to see The Angel of the North.
I would definitely stay here again.
