This is the best place to stay in St Annes. The hotel is high quality all round. Prices are reasonable, The staff are friendly hardworking and will do anything to help a guest There is a coffee shop, bar, ballroom, books and games for the benefit of guests. I believe they also have a spa and gym. Beds are comfortable and all the rooms nicely furnished.

The food is very good and service extremely quick. The evening dinners look like the offerings on Masterchef.

When I look at the pictures of the hotel online I am very envious. I booked as a single widowed guest several months early and asked if I could pay extra for a double room but was politely refused saying all the doubles are kept for couples. So I had to accept a single which was up in the eaves, quite dark and very small and a bathroom which was microscopic. None of the useful room extras like ironing board case rack and trouser press had any room to be put up. I managed there for a few nights but would have been very uncomfortable for a week.

Such a shame. The hotel deserves the full five stars but as a cramped single I can only give it four.

Room tip: Try not to go as a single guest if possible and get a room on a lower floor. Rooms at the back and sides are probably quieter.

Two night stopover in Blackpool to end our holiday with a dance and cream tea in the Tower Ballroom. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel has a quiet, traditional feel to it, which makes it an oasis of calm after venturing into Blackpool. The limited parking took us by surprise, but we eventually managed to grab a space in the hotel car park. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night, and the food was nice. For us, the food was served a little too efficiently, and the restaurant was a little too quiet and traditional, but there is a good choice of restaurants in Lytham, so it was very easy to pop round the corner and try something different the next night. The hotel breakfast was well organised and offered a good choice. We’d definitely recommend this hotel, particularly if you are looking for a good quality, quiet, traditional hotel.

We were very thankful for the Bedford Hotel as they offered us a last minute twin room when the hotel we had originally booked was found to be unsatisfactory. The reception staff were extremely accommodating and luckily they had one twin room vacancy for two nights - it must have been fate! The room was spacious and bright and the full English breakfast was plentiful and served by a lovely team of staff. We were made to feel very welcome

Room tip: Good parking availability straight outside the hotel. Within walking distance to promenade, independent shops and cafes

Simply cannot fault this hotel; well decorated and furnished for comfort in a quality setting with lovely bedrooms.
The food is fabulous and their evening meal deserves a 4 star rating for the quality of the produce, the standard of cheffing, the presentation and the prompt service.
We stayed with my father-in-law who suffers from vascular dementia and all the staff were amazing with him. Evenings spent in the bar were a pleasure - other guests were so friendly and sociable and we ended our stay with a night of great entertainment in the adjacent function room.
The pool and leisure facilities were still closed due to Covid but I'm looking forward to using them next time.
I can absolutely recommend The Bedford.

Myself and wife recently had a two night break there a couple of weeks ago. It is a wonderful place to stay. The food was absolutely amazing. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for the you. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. We met couples who had been returning from 5 to 15 years, and most of the staff had been there 20+ years. We will definitely be going back there. If you are going to Lytham then I would definitely recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed
