Called on the spur, and they had a cancellation. 200 pounds a night room down to 150, locked it in, and so glad we did. Not one single thing to nit-pick about this hotel. Helpful staff, great food and drinks, lovely inside both the hotel and the rooms, breakfast was the best I have had in a long time, the milk in the old school bottle, the proper butter in a dish, the jam in jars, Guys you have gone the extra mile, so many others fail in these simple things, well done. And the town is such a amazing place to visit, we will be back one day.

Stumbled upon this hotel on the internet and liked the look and sound of it. We were not disappointed! Our room was ‘olde worlde’ but extremly comfortable and with every modern convenience including a superbly comfortable bed with lovely linen.
The bars, restaurant and lounge were equally welcoming and we enjoyed a very pleasant evening in the lounge, sampling the amazing range of gins and tonics.
Breakfast was itself an experience. An excellent range of fresh fruit, juices, cereals, yoghurts, rolls and bread, followed by one of the finest hotel breakfasts we have ever eaten. The whole place was comfortable, clean, friendly and very relaxing. The staff could not be faulted. All in all a very pleasant experience and we shall be returning in August. We can see no reason to stay anywhere else in Stamford. The Crown ticked all the boxes - and at a very acceptable price. Try it!

Great room and even better breakfast. Must be the best hotel in Stamford. Go here every three months to see my friend and won’t stay anywhere else.

Stayed overnight in a very comfortable room...great bedding and the ceiling fan was excellent. Good shower. Fresh milk in the fridge was an excellent touch. The only downside....sachets of nescafe....really. why not buy coffee bags?
Breakfast was excellent in a lovely room...so good we came back for Sunday lunch ...which, on a very busy Father's day was good. And the bottle of beer as a present for Dad...excellent. good private parking. We look forward for staying here again
