A most amazing break. The staff couldn't do any more for us. The accommodation was spotless and the resort so peaceful. It was recommended to us, by our daughter, and we would recommend it highly for anyone just wanting to get away and be truly spoilt. Thank you to all the staff at the resort.

Fantastic holiday, room was spotless and well appointed able to watch the sunset from our balcony. All the staff very helpful and friendly nothing was too much for them. Chicco head of the animation team was fantastic and great at involving everyone in the activities which were very entertaining. Great resort, facilities and well appointed couldn’t ask for a better place to spend a break with friends.

Lovely holiday in a nice quiet location with great hotel grounds for relaxing by the pool. Rooms were very rustic, bathroom was lovely, well lit up. Food on the whole was good, could have been warmer sometimes, especially enjoyed my meals in the italian for a change. All inclusive drinks were very good, especially the cocktails served around the pool. Entertainment was varied, good magician, illusionist one night. Chico worked hard to get everyone involved. A little understaffed but the lady in the buffet area was very good, Konstantine in the Cava Bar was good and the lady in the customer services area very helpful when I was unwell one night. All in all a good place to stay with a bus stop just outside taking you to Paphos Harbour one way and Coral beach the other. Bus 615, cross over the road to go to Paphos and down to the left. The weather definitely made the stay as did the plentiful outdoor seating for meals which was lovely and large areas for the sunbeds by the pool, gardens and on the beach. Friendly hotel, would stay again.

Having being lucky enough to go on 3 breaks this year I could easily say that this isn't a 5 star hotel and agree with others as being 4 stars. The hotel itself is beautiful with gorgeous grounds and garden. Our room 264 was supposed to be a seaview room but you could barely see it due to the trees in the garden. Feel a bit conned! We were in a Junior Suite which had a double and sofa bed. There were no plug points by our bed so had to plug all our gadgets on our extension in the middle of the room!
Also, only one bottle of water was complimentary. Our 4 star in Rome had all water and soft drinks complimentary on B&B! We arrived late when we checked in and luckily the buffet was still opened however found sandwiches had been left for us in our room. This is a nice touch if we needed them but were ham. As muslims we cannot eat ham. I think non meat should be offered to suit everyone.

The buffet was good and as we were half board we would have lunch or dinner there every night. It was good to have a choice as did get to try other restaurants in Paphos. There was a la carte but found out we couldn't book any until the latter part of the week and only the Italian and Asian were available. I did try and book before arriving but was told it shouldn't be an issue as it's off peak. Well it certainly was an issue! Again I feel conned as that is one of the reasons for choosing this hotel..to make use of the a la cartes. This needs to be addressed for future guests.

The reception staff really need to be friendly. Barely a smile on their face.. this is what I expect from any hotel services so please could you let them know..especially the one with the long straight dark hair.

The private beach was a bit of a trek and no good if you have mobility issues as down a cliff with a few steps. A few loungers were for hotel guests but only 3 umbrellas. Luckily being quiet we were fine!

There were 3 pools on site but the water was far too cold for my liking! The spa facilities were average and was surprised to learn the steam and sauna do not run together (one in morning and one in afternoon). This was annoying as cannot enjoy the facilities in one go! I was lucky to be treated to a pedicure. This was good and did redo some as chipped the next day.

We used the bus 615 to go to the harbour and Coral Bay the opposite direction. They run every 15 minutes or so and cost £1.50 cash only.

We did one organised jeep tour with Steve (board near local restaurant).

Hope this helps especially the hotel!

Dear Chotipagli,

Thank you for choosing the Azia Resort & Spa for your holidays and for taking the time to review our hotel.

We are happy to know that you found our Hotel beautiful with gorgeous grounds and gardens!

Please allow me to first mention that the Azia has many times competed with other international 5 star hotels and won the attention and award of both the guests and professional travel organizations.
We are sorry to read that your stay with us did not meet your full expectations. We continuously strive to offer our guests excellent service. Please be informed that dietary requirements are duly noted when we are informed and we do cater for all guests needs. There are vast options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, in any case our chefs are more than happy to prepare your request that suits your dietary requirements. Our Chef and his team have been complemented repeatedly on the variety and quality of the culinary options that we offer. Moreover our Restaurants are constantly awarded!
I wish you had voiced your difficulty booking an a la carte restaurant whilst you were here with a member of our Management team who would have taken your concerns on board and attempted to salvage your experience.
Our guests truly enjoy the natural golden sandy beach that is located next to the hotel, which has been awarded as well. A nice, easy pathway on the right side facing the sea leads you directly there where you can find free sunbeds and reserved especially for our guests! All beaches are open to the public (by law they cannot belong to any hotel) but ours is secluded and as we have our own sunbeds there it is very nice for our guests.

We do apologize for the frustration you felt. We continuously improve the holiday experience of our guests and our service standards and we appreciate the time you took to share your personal opinion which are noted by our Management. It is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to offer you a better service on your next visit.

On behalf of the management and staff of the Azia resort and Spa.

This hotel is in an excellent location both for exploring the area (Paphos, inland, the Akamas peninsula) and for enjoying seabathing as there is a sandy beach close by. The hotel gardens are attractive with plenty of seating and west facing to enjoy sunsets. We were in an adults only premium room so enjoyed 'extras' such as water, coffee and fruit in the room and the offer of free afternoon tea and aperitifs in an adults only lounge. We chose 'mountain view' which is a misnomer. The room faced the car park and the busy road beyond, with traffic noise that meant sitting on the spacious balcony was not pleasant. The window did not seem double glazed so the traffic could be heard from the room. We selected dinner bed and breakfast as this was cheaper than just B+B! The dinner was buffet style and of a good variety. The atmosphere was a bit clinical and there were in theory other restaurants to choose from but these were not always open or already fully booked which was a bit frustrating. Breakfast buffet style was excellent and we enjoyed taking that by the pool. The staff in the restaurants were helpful and hard working. Reception staff less so. None were welcoming and when we had a problem trying to book online for a restaurant (the system was rather opaque) and when we complained at being charged 5 euros for two small waters in the restaurant the response was 'It's not my fault'. This sort of defensive attitude is not customer friendly and leaves a bad impression. The staff need to be trained to say, for instance 'I'm sorry you are not happy. Would you like to speak to the restaurant manager?' for example. Overall I would say this hotel is 4 stars. For 5 stars I would expect excellent service from all staff and better restaurant availability. (Two nights we ate out at a little local restaurant which was much friendlier and atmospheric).

Room tip: Avoid mountain view. Noisy.
