Fosshotel was clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. Robert at the front desk was very helpful and informative. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the BierGarten was great!

Highly recommend! The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast buffet had a great selection, and there is a stop right out front where the tour buses pick up from. Also loved the beer garden, which was a nice place to relax and grab a beer/snack after a long day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again. Bonus - it’s a short walk to the harbor, where we were lucky enough to catch the Northern lights!

FhR is a delightful gem. Located at bus stop 12, it is an ideal place to be close to downtown but not stuck in the middle. All the major tour companies pick up just outside, and it is a mere 10min walk to downtown or the harbor walkway. As a bonus, there is a Bonus (grocery) 2 blocks away.

Everything was excellent! Rooms are a little smaller than expected, but comfortable. The bed was a little firm, but all you have to do is ask for a mattress topper and they will bring one. Excellent service!

I upgraded to the tower view rooms. Well worth the upgrade. We could see Harpa, Hallgrimskirkja, and the harbor. Fantastic view. The breakfast buffet is fabulous. So why not five stars? Two things really annoyed me: rock hard mattresses and a tiny bathroom sink. My husband called the mattress medieval torture bed. I read that European hotels have harder mattresses, but this one was something else.
Room tip: The mattresses are very hard.
