Good hotel in nice location

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Sept 2024
This hotel is very pricey although in a good location which is easy to walk into town. The rooms are quite small, but clean and tidy. We did not stay to eat as the cost of one drink was enough. It is in the old marina area not the cruise ship area - in case that is what you are looking for. there is only one old slow lift so don't be in a hurry. For the cost I would have thought breakfast would have been included. once we worked out the cost of breakfast we went into the village and bought some yougurt.

Nice hotel near the Old Harbor with free parking.
I'm a little surprised at the low ranking because the hotel is conveniently located, has nice rooms and good breakfast offerings.
Also free parking.
Ada and Daniel at the front desk were very help and informative.
Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel right by the marina close to everything. I strongly recommend a stay here.
The family rooms had bunk beds which was interesting and fun for the kids.
The pictures of the room are slightly deceptive in showing them bigger than they are but they are comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. They were advertised as for 4 adults and 2 kids. But that’s a bit too many people although there are 4 bunk beds snd 2 sleeper sofa bed. You can literally not put a step anywhere if you have 6 people in this room.
Hotel is very charming and full of character.
Highly recommend a stay here because it’s close to everything and the staff are very friendly.
We will come back here.

Great location between two good shopping areas, with access to tours right next door. Staff were friendly and helpful, making recommendations for places to go and food to experience. Very accommodating for my elderly parents and wife with several food allergies.

Room tip: The rooms with king-sized “bunk beds” are fun, but leave little space to spread out luggage, etc.

A delightful place to stay near the docks in the old area of Reykjavik. The exterior of the building suggests that it may have been used for an industrial purpose at one time, but the interior is quite modern and charming. The lobby has a cute fireplace that serves as a gathering spot. Rooms are a bit small but well designed and bright, with plenty of plug ins for electronic devices.

My room was on an upper floor and had a door leading to my balcony-which would have been delightful if the weather had been sunny.

Because our shuttle to the airport left before they started serving breakfast, they packed a two go bag with two sandwiches, fruit, fruit juice, drinkable yogurt, and a candy bar. All that was lacking was coffee or tea which you could obtain free in the reception desk.

The hotel was comfortable and in a great location, easy walk to center and on harbor with restaurants close by. Breakfast was fine, nice fruit, meusli, skyr and also warm food. Converted form former commercial building, done well, has elevators.
