I recently stayed at Hotel Odinsve and was quite enjoyable.
The hotel is very conveniently located in the city centre just a few minutes walk to the cathedral and just off the main high street in the old town. It was easy to walk to the places we wanted to visit.

The room was nice with a lovely view of the cathedral. We also had the exit to a balcony (emergency stairs?) with a beautiful view.
The bed is excellent. Had a great sleep! Nice warm duvets that make an excellent sleep after a walk in the cold.
The bathroom is nice and has good hair drier. There is no body lotion for my surprise.
The food at the restaurant downstairs was average. I DO NOT recommend the steak there :)

The reception staff were very nice and very helpful. Thank you!

BTW, The minibar could use some extra biscuits or snacks beside chocolate.

Location ideal for Reykjavík, right in the centre and within 10 mins walk of everything. Rooms were fine but basic and could do with a bit of repainting. Our room looked out onto the fire exit so no view. No safe in rooms. Staff were very helpful.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a junior suite and were very happy with our stay. The room was lovely as it was split across two floors and you could even see the snow covered mountains from the top floor. Loved the decor which had a vintage vibe and all of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was also in the perfect location as it located in the prettiest part of the city and very close to the church. The only downside was the bathroom which was very small but for a short break it was adequate. My one tip for anyone going to the city is to download the happy hour app. Brilliant to help find slightly cheaper drinks and to visit different bars.

I recently stayed here with my daughter. The hotel is in an excellent location, just off the main high street, and in easy walking distance of plenty of restaurants, attractions and the waterfront.
The rooms are modern and comfortable, with good facilities. The staff were friendly and very helpful during our stay.
There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, it doesn’t belong to the hotel but the food here is also excellent and very convenient after a long day sight seeing.

After reading mixed reviews, we were delighted that our stay in this hotel was perfect. Triple room (118) was large and modern with a huge bathroom. Lovely comfortable beds which gave us a good night’s sleep every evening with quality bedding and soft towels all changed regularly. Small fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast really good with lots of choice. The hotel packed us up a breakfast one morning when we were on an early excursion. All staff were polite and attentive. Would definitely stay again as also close to all amenities and sights
