Review of Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre

My friend and I just returned from a 5-day trip to Iceland, and we stayed at the Canopy Hotel. It's a modern hotel in a very convenient location--walkable to all the sites in Reykjavik (a block from Laugavegur) and only a block from Bus Stop #6 (a standard drop-off/pick-up point for buses, tours, etc.). The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a 24-hour gym (good quality equipment, with towels, a water and sparkling water dispenser, lockers, and a shower available). The staff were friendly and helped us with transportation arrangements, as needed. The breakfast buffet was excellent and extensive. A few minor complaints: occasionally the front desk needs more staff to handle guests waiting for assistance, the room was a little on the warm side (one window opened, and there was a fan provided), and although we requested housekeeping the day before we left, it wasn't done. All in all, we would highly recommend the Canopy for your Reykjavik stay!

Our first venture into the world post pandemic took us to Iceland for our second visit there While in Reykjavic we stayed 4 nights at the Canopy by Hilton. The location for exploring the city center and nearby attractions on foot is perfect. The room was clean and spacious with a large bathroom and huge shower. Parking right across the street made access to our rental car easy for day trips. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay there again the next time we travel to Iceland.

Great location, cool style, spacious rooms, super helpful staff and excellent breakfast. We stayed with 3 kids in 2 rooms. Location is perfect for exploring all of downtown on foot or by scooter. There's great attention to detail in the style of the place and the themes are carried through the whole hotel. Highly recommended.

Unacceptably loud on street side. Could not sleep. The club next door is blaring and beat is unavoidable. Beware when booking because you won’t sleep.
What else. Nice hotel otherwise but unless you plan to actually sleep, pick elsewhere. That’s it

We capped off our Iceland visit with a 1 night stay at the Canopy Hilton in Reykjavik.
What an wonderful stay! From your first entrance you will experience the excellent reception service and beautiful coffee bar area. The room was extremely spacious with a very comfortable bed and beautiful industrial chic bathroom.
The 2nd floor cocktail lounge was perfect for a relaxed cocktail before dinner.
The location cannot be beat with many restaurants and shopping just steps away.
Also, there is a large reasonably priced municipal parking lot directly across the lane from this hotel. This made check-in and check-out with luggage very easy.
Highly recommend the Canopy by Hilton in Reykjavik!
