Spotted this large bakery on our way to visit the Perlan Museum on our final day in Iceland.
It is clearly a bakery frequented by local people as there was no English signage. However, they had a large range of bread, pastries, cakes, drinks etc and the friendly assistant offered us an English version of the menu.
We ordered soup, sandwiches and cake and it was very reasonable when compared with other establishments. The cauliflower soup was the best soup I have ever had!
There were plenty of tables to enjoy your purchases and the whole area (including the toilets) wells very clean.
Definitely worth a visit rather than paying more than double at the eating establishments at The Perlan. Far more relaxed and supporting a local business.
