I stumbled across the Almond Village while searching for accommodation in Northern Cyprus on the internet, and I'm so glad I found it. I emailed in advance ( which I do for every hotel we travel to) as I had a lot questions that needed to be answered before I made the reservation. Gulten was not only really helpful in assuring me that our needs would be met, but her response in answering each question was so fast. On arrival we were met with a very warm welcome and shown to our accommodation, which was a 2 bedroom poolside villa. The villa was spotless and each day cleaned to a very high standard. The gardens surrounding the Villas and Cottages are absolutely beautiful, the staff work tirelessly to keep the grounds looking perfect, beautiful flowers in fall bloom in such blazing heat is very difficult, temperatures reached the mid 40's whilst we were there. The hot breakfast has to be the best we've had in any hotel, the reason why, its not buffet each cooked breakfast is made to order, from the finest omelet's to full english breakfast, fresh fruit crepes, and more. We did go out to eat a few times but the food standard is so good we didn't need to leave. The Almond is a little family run oasis that truly deserves the 5 stars that Ive given it. I can honestly say I have been to some wonderful hotels over the years, but this is one of our favourites, its so relaxing, the guests & family are like old friends you've know for years, your made to feel so welcome by everyone, I can see why so many people return year after year. My only disappointment was not staying longer, 10 days was over in a blink of an eye.More
