You have to feel this, very elegant, traditional but so sophistic atmosphere. If you looking for something different, this is yours. Situated middle of Helsinki, heart of the city. I really recommend this!

Torni is an absolute favorite in Helsinki. Location is superb, it’s situated in an old building with great charm. Previously I’ve had one of the old style rooms but this time I had the modern style. Really nice!

Breakfast really good and service throughout the hotel and restaurants great!

The tower opens at 14 PM, at least in weekdays. Located in the city center. You can go there without paying anything, but there is a bar at the top, so you might want to buy something to drink. Probably the best view you can get of Helsinki.

The Hotel Torni is located in the heart of Helsinki, near the railroad station. "Torni" means "Tower," and it is the tallest building downtown. You may want to book a tower room for the views, but then you have to share a single elevator with the hordes heading up to the Ateljee Bar atop the hotel.

You have to put the keycard into a slot on the elevator control panel for the elevator to work. You also have to put it in a slot in the room to have power.

The room, 1104, is next to the elevator, but at only four rooms per floor in the tower, half of them are. It is a tiny corner room with great views.

They made the most of their scanty real estate: The bed had plenty of pillows, a bathrobe, and slippers on it.
Next to it was a nightstand and plenty of sockets in a corner behind the bed. The desk had a mini bar, a free bottle of water, some drawers, a safe, a telephone, two sockets, and a chair. There was no closet, only a rail with a bunch of hangers. But there were a big mirror, a parquet floor, a TV, a capsule coffee maker, a tea maker, and some drawings of snow-covered landscapes on the walls.

The bathroom contained: a toilet, a cubic designer sink with a big mirror and toiletries, a bidet shower attached to the faucet, a hairdryer in a bag under the sink, a tiny shower stall with soap and shampoo dispensers, and a heated towel rack with a hand and a shower towel. The bathroom walls are glass, so you can wash with a view, but may want to shut the window blinds if you want to shower or use the toilet. The headboard is placed strategically to block most views of you.

WiFi was free and worked well. The staff was friendly and efficient.

As hotels go, the Sokos Torni is a good value in a great location. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and house keeping was unobtrusive. The facilities were older but well maintained and quite large. Our room was well appointed and quiet until about 6 am when all manner of construction and trash removal operations began. If you need quiet in the mornings I suggest you ask for a room on a higher floor as from the 4 floor we could hear everything going on below. But, that said, an enjoyable stay and we would be happy to stay there again.
