Holiday hotel!

I’m staying for business so not really for me, but looking at it as a family hotel it is very nice, almost like a hotel resort I would say. Live band, lots of things for the kids to do, spa and other relaxing things to do and hire.
I would bring the family here! 👍

I have stayed in this hotel twice before, this time we only went to the spa. The hotel is averagely good, I really liked the breakfast. The building is a bit old fashioned but the surroundings are nice for walking and being outside as the lake is just next to the hotel. Spa then, is not too big, but you'll find various different pools there (regular, cool, hot, jacuzzi, outdoors pool, for kids...). Kids will like the place, there is also a biggish waterslide. Usually I've found the water cold in many spas in Finland, but here it was nicer.

Room was hot and outdated.Pillow was thin and bed hard, bathroom outdated.Spa was a kind of a joke. Hot tubs were designed by some sort of sadists. It was virtually impossible to sit comfortably in them.Food that was served in the restaurant made me angry and sad.Nothing good to eat or drink.I definitely do NOT recommend to anyone.

We stayed here with our Finnish friends and shared a 3 bedroom villa overlooking the beautiful lake for 4 nights. There was plenty of parking and the house was well equipped for cooking. The villa was clean and there were plenty of places to walk. Although we didn't use it there were several volleyball courts, a small beach by the lake which was suitable for children all set in peaceful surroundings. We used the swimming pool once which was fine but not huge. It didn't seem packed considering it was high season. One word of advice if you order tap water make sure you tell them you don't require ice! We were charged for tap water and had to get a refund.

Room tip: Villa 90 has wonderful views

Nothing special about this place, renovation would be needed. The place swarms of families with children and elderly people, so this is not the place for night life.

We had breakfast and dinner included in our room rate and both were quite bad, especially dinner was really dull and tasteless.

There must be more interesting places to stay around Kuopio, especially as this hotel is quite far away from the city.

Rooms were pretty basic. Walls are too thin, you can hear what is happening at the corridor and at the next room. The bathroom would need a lot of renovation although it was clean and worked quite well in overall.

Spa is quite oldish, but it worked very well: it has good selections of different pools and I don't have nothing to complain or praise there.

At least there are some "restaurant-life" at the upstairs, but did not go to the karaoke. Maybe I should next time if I visit there.

Breakfast was rather good but the food selection was quite small. No "good morning" greeting from no one, so minus point because of that.

In overall hotel and spa are working together quite good, but it is obvious that hotel (and spa) requires some renovation work before it is too late. However, Kuopio is not that big city so there are no competitors around and therefore I think that especially the spa will get the customers in future too.
