This was the perfect spot if you’re on a kite holiday like we were. There is a pool and sun beds on the beach right in front for non-kiters. The kite spot is a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk.
The staff is super friendly and went out of their way to make it easy for us to enjoy our last day by letting us use the pool and showers until the very end.

San Giovanni is an amazing place which me, my family and friend dearly love. We have been going every year for the last 8 years, sometimes twice, and always it feels like it is our first. Wonderful staff, starting with the onwer Mr. Verginis, the best hotel manager Tassos, the cleaner Maria and many others. Perfect location, especially for kitesurfers. Highly, highly recommended!
From the start everything was so nice and perfect, the staff was kind and very helpful with any information, especially Maria. All the rooms are big and cleaned every day and have wonderfull sea view, you can actually hear the waves and also see perfect sunsets every single day. The breakfast was very good and sufficient. Thanks again Maria for all your help and good thoughts and definetly we will come back!
We had a wonderful 5 day stay at San Giovanni. The property is right on the beach which can also be seen from the room balcony, away from the main street so you can hear the sea in peace. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast boufet was sufficient and special thanks to Maria which made our stay even more pleasent. She gave us a lot of info about the island and where to go and was just very helpful all around (we decided to extend our stay for one more night so a new room was quickly aranged for us). She even went out of her way to get info on other places in Greece we planned to visit. Many thanks Maria! Definetly recommand and we will surely be back.
We went to San Giovanni studios for a long three day weekend. We stayed in the new suites. This place is luxurious, very clean, and the stuff extremely helpful and polite. The sea in front of the hotel and the rented umbrellas from a store next door are also very nice.
The day we arrived it was late in the afternoon and the restaurant kitchen had closed for the day .... the staff however went and prepared a meal for us nevertheless. This was our introduction to this hidden gem of a hotel and area.
The entire property was well-maintained and clean. Taso the "hands on" owner was there constantly making sure that everything ran smoothly. The staff .... Iris at the front desk and the entire staff at the restaurant always greeted you with a smile and were eager to assist with any question or issue that we had.
The entire area near the hotel is at present under commercialized and therefore very peaceful as the traffic is very sparse. The beach in front of the hotel which consists of small pebbles "votsala" is natural and untouched.
If you want night life .... cafes... restaurants.... shops etc..... they are short bike ride or drive away depending on your mode of transportation.
