We stayed in one of the smaller studio apartments. Good shower and with the normally expected kit. It had a beautiful view across the bay. We used to sit there of an evening with a drink (sometimes with just tea!) totally relaxed by its quality.
Sometimes we ate in their restaurant by one of the pools; excellent greek food with equally excellent service from Aristede and Stella and all the kind and helpful staff. Aristede and Victoria were particularly supportive of our stumbling attempts to learn and speak Greek. Often, though, we ate in Chania in the evening, a 30 minute walk away in the Venetian port area. During the day, when we weren't collapsed by the pool drinking Mythos or the local Cretan beer, we took the 10 minute walk across the heath and along the coastal path to a beach bar. From either excursion it was always good to return to the hotel usually to a welcoming greeting asking how we had got on.
Aircon was nice and quiet and shower hot.

Room Tip: Email Victoria and ask, politely, for what you would like would be.

Have been here almost every year the last 35 years. The rooms and facilities are being better and better, and the food in the restaurant is better and better. Nice quiet place from where you can walk to Chania City.

Lovely quiet location yet within easy reach of Chania. Very relaxing, welcoming people who made our stay very memorable. Food and cocktails were great. A special mention to Aris for his fantastic Mojito and Victoria in reception for her warm smile and help during our stay. I didn't get all their names but thank you to all the staff; they were very helpful and the owners should be proud of them all.

The complex is lovely with two pools, the upper pool having gorgeous views of Chania. It's quiet, easy going and just what we like. You can walk into town but a taxi was only 5 euros one way. We had a car and used it to see various parts of the island but buses run to all parts too.

June and Keith

Room Tip: The lower pool area had 6 apartments round it. It seems like our own private pool. Views higher up have more views of the sea and town.

Lovely place run by a family that take obvious pride in their property and service. Our apartment was perfect for the week we stayed, and the place is immaculate, fresh and well looked after. Aris the barman was a highlight for us, carefully crafting our drinks and providing great local knowledge and information. We liked that the apartments are a little out of town, so we walked in at least once a day. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and we were delighted to receive a small gift of Maria's homemade marmalade when we checked out. A fantastic property, we will be back and highly recommend it. All the best for the season!

Room Tip: We had a top floor apartment that looked out over the sea and the garden.

For Seven years we have visited the excellent Frida family hotel and Apartments in Chania. We highly appreciate their hospitality and friendly service. We were welcomed with roses on our beds this time and the rooms we're ready for early check in. The food and wine at Frida's is very good and the homemade marmelade from mother Maria is Lovely. For sure we will come back.
