The room I stayed was recently renovated but they didn’t change the carpet which was dirty and a lot of stains.
Couldn’t open the window.
Dinner was very simple over cooked and not enough. But I must say that after we complain about the dinner next day the food was better. Breakfast was good, you can see the ocean from the dinning room.
One elevator didn’t work so was a long wait.

Fabulous location but looks awful from the outside and inside is unfortunately more of the same.

Room is old and worn out, holes in curtains and linen.

Staff were great and location is good. Oh, and four star? Maybe in the 50s.

Avoid.

Stayed here for one night only. The location is great, right in the town center and next to the beach. The bedrooms are completely outdated and the hotel needs a complete uplift and refurbishment. The pool was nice with sauna and Turkish bath all included in the rate, which was not expensive.
I didn’t take breakfast, so not able to talk about it, just that it was 10 euros per person.
If only for one night, probably will stay here again as it gives you an interesting value for money due to the swimming pool and sauna.

It definitely has a good location looking out across the beach and the crashing Atlantic waves however all other aspects are average.

The rooms have little character so don’t feel cosy in any way. Shower had some great pressure and nice and hot. No English channels on the TV and would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Breakfast was good, no problem with the food here and a good selection to choose from whilst enjoying the view of the coast.

The service was good however the hotel looks very dated, feels like you’re going back in time. Definitely needs a freshen up to get it up to date more. 3 star...absolutely, 4 star...not so sure.

It is the worst 4 star hotel I've ever been to. It's not deserving 2 stars. Ok, the view is nice and breakfast was ok, but other than that, it was awful. We arrived to Espinho for our friends wedding. We had suit and dress in our suitcases, so we needed an iron. Hotel didn't have an iron for guests! Not even in reception. You have to buy a laundry service for an ironing. It is ridiculous! We were in 4 stars hotels before and we didn't have that problem.. Also there's no safe in the hotel room :/ That hotel won't provide you anything. Not even a towel for beach (hotel across the street is providing this and it is not even 4 star..) Big NO for that hotel. We paid almost 160£ for 2 nights and I wouldn't spend 50£ on that kind of stay...
