I have eaten here many times and can't believe I have not reviewed previously. We always order the "Rice Bowl" which is a smorgasbord of Indonesian dishes placed on warming trays. You can take as you wish and repeat as you wish. Order for one less person, there is plenty to enjoy. The waiters are very helpful as well, so ask. There are chicken, beef, pork, egg, noodle, rice, string bean, potato dishes plus salad. Some have more spice, some are more savory. However, all are beautifully seasoned and prepared. We dine there every visit, which is at least twice a year.

I've had several rice tables (rickestafel) from Amsterdam to Indonesia and this evening of dinning rated perfect. When you order a rice table...they are fixing LOTS of different foods and flavors; it takes time. If you are starving, order a starter!
We order the Biasa rice table for two; loved the Gado gado, sate, Babi kecap, ayam mentega... well just about everything was delicious and prepared with great care.
Service was fantastic; the hostess who took our order specifically asked how hot and spicy we wanted the food and adjusted/substituted to meet our needs. The food was excellent, spices delicate and so much to eat for two!

The restaurant is atmospheric and obviously has been decorated with great care. Beautiful art work, collection of masks, statues, Garuda statues and vintage posters providing a wonderful feel to the restaurant.

When we left the restaurant, I was surprised to find us in Haarlem ... not Sulawesi, Indonesia. Highly recommended!

On a local’s recommendation we chose this place for our first try of Indonesian food. All the family, including small children keen to return. Great food. Helpful service. Nice setting. We had the “rice-table” for two which (on the manager’s advice) was plenty for all 4 of us

We visited on the Saturday of a long weekend , the place was at capacity , but still had a good buzz . The decor was authentic Indonesian , and certainly added to the atmosphere . However , despite having a reservation , we waited fifteen minutes to be seated , and a further hour for our rickestafel to arrive . The food was tasty enough , although we have tasted better , - but it would have been a lot better if we could have had a few dishes earlier , rather than all fourteen dishes arriving together after a rather long wait .

This Indonesian restaurant came highly recommended. For our first experience of Indonesian food, this was extremely good. The variation in tastes was wonderful, from spicy to sweet and sour and more. We all chose the multi dish option which had some 14 dishes plus rice and bami (fried noodles). At 24 euros pp this was excellent value. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
