We booked for a Christmas lunch, which was supposed to be one of the highlights of our visit to Amsterdam on the 25th of December. I had great expectations based on the majority of the revieuws, however, there's no reason for us to visit MOS Amsterdam again.
Upon arrival we got one of the best tables, unfortunately the sunshine was so strong it wasn't pleasant looking against it as there were no curtains or blinds. So we asked if we could take another table just next to ours, which sat in the shade. In reply the waiter said that table was booked and that he wasn't able to switch the sun off and that we should enjoy ithe beauty of the nature. That wasn't helpful and we didn't get the impression he was listening to us. We got another table upstairs, with less of a view of the IJ but at least we could have a conversation without squinting continuously. The waiting staff (we had 3 or 4 waiters at our table) were competent and knowledgeable but not welcoming nor friendly. This is a shame, because the dishes we had were beautifully presented and full of flavour.

For our pre-christmas diner we reserved the entire restaurant. What an excellent service, food and wines. The ambiance was very nice.

Visited 3 fine dine restaurants at last visit to Amsterdam, this is the best. High food quality, cozy yet professional services to present each dish with clear description. Chef is around to answer any questions. And of course spectacular view to watch sunset. Just warm remind, must make reservation. you won’t disappointed

Where do I start this review? Should I start with the most welcoming waiters , or with the ambience or with the wine, or the food itself or the total experience? Everything about this restaurant is top class. Wine pairing is a must try. They have excellent choice of vegetarian food too, just ask the waiter! This restaurant is extremely popular amongst diners and advance booking is thoroughly recommended.

A harbour side restaurant with beautiful views of the Ij harbour. Large windows ensure everyone has a view (though the better views are on the upper floor). The wine list is extensive and the food is outstanding. Dishes inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and created with an innovative twist. I especially enjoyed the play of different (often surprising) textures, flavours, colours and temperatures in a single dish. My favourite dish was the sepia tagliatelle!

Service was good - somewhat casual but friendly and efficient. All in all, a restaurant I would definitely recommend.
