We cycled here on a dark evening in the middle of a storm. The weather and the fact that it was a Monday meant it was probably a little quieter than it usually was, approaching it from the carpark I wasn't even sure if it was open, but thankfully it was. The bar is inside a sort of quonset hut and it affords really beautiful views across the IJ to the twinkling lights of Amsterdam proper. Very atmospheric interior: there was a wood stove burning meaning that despite the screaming wind outside we were very toasty, and the music was at a level low enough to allow a nice chat. We only stayed for one beer and some nachos but we had a nice time while we were there.
