We had a lovely evening in Kaiser's Reblaube.
All in all it was just great. From the friendly service, the matching wine suggestion to the simply amazing food by the chef Inbar Zuckerberg.

Everybody who loves great food should visit this restaurant - highly recommended!

I had lunch here with 3 colleagues on Thursday last week and the food is amazing.
So tasty and delicious and the utmost care and attention was paid to its presentation.

Try the Nettle Soup, its divine! i was told by my colleague that the banana tart tartin was the best dessert she'd ever eaten (i couldnt try as i am gluten free)

Excellent wine selection and Bea who is front of house knows all you need to know about wine so paired it very well with our meal.

And if you need any more of a recommendation, we all went back for lunch on Friday too to sample more from the seasonal menu they have.

Definitely worth a visit

If you feel like really splurging on yourself with traditional Swiss food that displays an international twist (the new chef is Israeli), this is definitely the place to come to. The 13. century house is located in the old town of Zurich and the stroll is already worth it. The famous facade was painted at the beginning of the 20. century when it was first bought by the Kaiser family. The restaurant atmosphere is of warm wooden tones in a classic demure Swiss setting.

The young woman who served us was most affable and professional. She was able to explain how each dish was made, and was very knowledgeable about the wines and spirits they had available. Her know-how showcased an intimate relationship with the kitchen. From the aperitif to the red wine that accompanied our meals, to the dessert wine and digestif the choices were always exceptionally good ones.

From the amuse bouche to the appetizers, through the main dishes and to our desserts (including a cheese plate) the food was prepared with creativity, a spin on tradition, freshness, interesting yet sober contrasting flavors and love for details. I only had wished for the terrine to be a few degrees warmer so that the flavors could further develop and for the gin flavored ice cream to have had a stronger flavor (more of a bite to it).

My roommate and I had a wonderful evening and would definitely come again.

I visited the place together with my wife for the second time. The experience was not the same as for the first time. The meat was very good but not cooked as ordered. We ordered medium-well, it was more rare-medium. The gratin was not cooked enough and more or less raw. The dessert was nice again. Maybe there are just too many people around Christmas.

I have ordered a scolloped for the starter, the taste is just so-so and most importantly the selection on the menu are very limited, not many choices to choose really.
