I simply adore this way of traveling. Easy, green and a cheap way to have a beautiful view of the town.I live in Perugia and I always use it to go to the city centre. I only wish it could be kept open later at night ( it closes at 9 pm) more often and not only during the ten-days Umbria Jazz festival or in a couple of other occasions.

Driverless, tracked shuttles giving good views and stopping at 7 stations. Running every few minutes from and to the historical center and train station of Perugia, cheap and fast. If you have a lot of cases may be best to get a taxi as there are escalators and steps from disembarkation point to get to the historical center.

The MiniMetro is a unique way to get from one side of Perugia to the other, from the main train station to the top of the town. It's a driverless system of tracked cabs and very reasonably priced.

These little automated cars (almost like cable cars), run every few minutes. There is no driver. Each one is big enough for about a dozen people, They move from point to point quickly and quietly, with lots of glass windows so you can enjoy the trip (when not inside a tunnel). An easy way to get from point A to point B.
