A traditional bar on a street corner in the main pedestrianised shopping street, it also included a pizza restaurant upstairs, although we only stopped for a couple of drinks. An extensive cocktail choice was listed on the wall, and these were very reasonably priced with many around the €5 or €6 mark. We opted for a Gin Fitz and a Sex on the Beach. Both were pretty good, although I think the latter differed a bit from the more usual recipe, but both were enjoyable and we had a couple of beers as well.
We fancied a bit of a snack and so enquired if we could get a slice of pizza. It seemed that the barman didn’t hear us as he made no comment, so we were somewhat surprised when a full pepperoni pizza, not just a couple of slices, tuned up. This was most enjoyable, but what was even better, on asking for the bill and remarking that it seemed rather low, to be told that the pizza was complimentary! This was very unexpected, and certainly much appreciated. Overall, a great venue!
