The camp ground is a fantastic place to stay outside of the Siena city. There is a bus out the front that will take you to the heart of town.
The restaurant on site is fantastic and there's also a little convenience type store on the premises.
The cabins rooms are comfortable minus no air conditioning but they do come with the bonus of a mini refrigerator.
The pool and pool bar are a great attribute to the camp ground! We spent a day off from exploring and just relaxed by the pool.
We spent four days here. One in town, one by the pool, one renting a car and another doing our laundry/packing/pool.
Great stop on our trip!

Stayed in November in our large motor home when site quiet. No access problem. Very professional check-in with helpful info on local transport, nearest food outlet, etc. Good English spoken, Spotless facilities.
On main bus route into Siena, or within walking distance (approx half an hour)

We stayed here as there were few other options in Sienna. The location is good as it is close to the town center and railway station with a bus stop right out side the camp entrance. We found the staff to be OK and were helpful when we needed them. This site is built on quite a steep hillside so any one with mobility problems may want to bear that in mind. The Motor-home pitches were all of the hard standing type. I know some people prefer a grassy pitch but with the torrential rain we had on three or four occasions during our week there we were glad of the hard standing. The pitches were all of a good size with a reliable electricity supply for each pitch. The shower blocks were clean and close to the pitches.
The pool was really good with a convenient pool side bar selling snacks and drinks, The site shop was well stocked and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday.
The site restaurant was not so good the food was no more than average but the service was appalling. There are numerous far better restaurants just a short bus or taxi ride away.
I know there have been some poor reviews but mostly from guests staying in chalet accommodation and tents. I can't comment on these facilities but for any one traveling in a motorhome I would give it 4 stars

We decided to stay the night in Siena on the last minute and the offer of this camping site came.

We stayed at the 'bungalow' not camping area. The room is tiny, but okay for 1 night. There is a bathroom, which I have to warn you, comes without soap and shampoo. There were just 2 towels and that's it, no floor mat either. The wall is also very thin, and we are pretty sure that the heater doesn't work either. But I mean, for just one night to sleep and take a shower with free WiFi and parking, we are quite happy.

For someone who loves walking and hike, the location of the hotel is perfect. It's a little hilly, but not too steep. There is a shortcut going down from the hotel, which takes 15 minutes to arrive, then you walk again 5 minutes to the shopping mall where there is an escalator which takes you to the city center. And after that, again about 7-10 minutes to the very center. It was an enjoyable walk, though there is a bus, make sure you check the time well. Taking a car to the old city might not be that ideal.

The only thing that bothers me is that we arrive at the hotel from the center about 23.00-ish. And we can't find the room with the map they gave us. There was no signs or indications of what's where.

Anyway, for some 45€ something a night, we have nothing to complain.

We spent 2 nights there.
First of all, the camping site, is ridiculous, practically a forest, with very random spots, full of plants and roots. "Electricity" is offered in 4 plugs for campers (??) for like 50 people on the campsite. The camping should specify on their website that you need an adaptor to use those plugs. No! They don't but they sell adaptors on the shop for 1.50euros. They say on their website that they have a pool. They don't say that you need a cap to swim. They sell it for 2-3 euros. Who travels with a swimming cap??? Noone. If the website was saying that you need the cap i would. But I m not paying on the shop. The website says about wifi. All of campings I've been (especially in Greece) have free wifi OBVIOUSLY. We are in 2016. At Colleverde wifi costs 3.00 euros per hour!!! Also. At 8.30 am the hot water in the shower is over. So you have to wake up at 7 to have a hot shower. I can go on and on about the wrong things of this camping. On the plus side is the location (2km from the centre of Siena about 20-30 minutes walking) and the bar offering good cocktails. The main problem is the price. Unconfortable camping site, no hot water, no free wifi, no easy access to electricity. We stayed 2 people, one small tent and a car, for 2 nights and we paid 80 euros!!!!! Ridiculous. It's a NO NO.
