We visited the Hotel Sovestro for 6 nights in late August 2017 and had a lovely stay. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Its also a quiet hotel, so perfect for couples.
We were a party of 2 teenagers and 2 adults, and had two separate rooms next to each other, with a communal patio area, which was perfect. The rooms are traditional, whilst also feeling very fresh and clean. The hotel staff do a very good job of cleaning the rooms, seen as how we left the room in a state when we went out each day! The twin room i stayed in had two very comfortable, but standard beds, along with a large bathroom, rather standard sized television and a large wardrobe.
Breakfast consisted of an all you can eat buffet with a selection of packet cereals, different pastries everyday and bread, as well as a large selection of fresh fruit also. Breakfast also boasted a large selection of hot drinks and fruit juices.
The pool is a standard 20m pool, with good sun loungers surrounding it, and a small child pool connected. Due to the small size of the hotel compared with the excess sun loungers, you've no need to worry about getting a sun lounger even during the busy periods. There is also a small secluded pol set within A small mock cove a little walk from the main pool. This is a quiet spot to sit and relax, and also an excellent child's pool.
To conclude, i would say this hotel is a very traditional Tuscan B&B, so if you are looking for luxury and modern accommodation, then there are better options within Tuscany. However if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay to really get a feel for the Tuscan way of life, then this is the hotel for you. It's great for small families and couples, and is the perfect retreat to get away from the busy way of modern life.
