we were recommended this place by the Taxi Driver that took us from the airport to the hotel. we went there to gove a try and we were really satisfied with the food, service and ambience. the place is amazing and we were very well served by Ruggiero who gave us an insight of all the dishes and specialtities of the day. it was worth it and had an excellent dinner with an amazing service.

Worst meal in 40 years travelling in Italy
Smoked tuna like cardboard, dry & completely tasteless. Came with no salad.
Spaghetti Al Volgole with so much pepper impossible to taste anything else. Perhaps clams not fresh & covering the taste?
Roast Lamb was reheated greasy & horrible. Think originally cooked many days before.
Waiter appeared to almost expect complaints.
Avoid at all costs

Stay away from the fish - it was smelly when it arrived.

We had 2 sea breams - they have been recommended by the waiter. They arrived at the table and we immediately smelled that they where not fresh. After we have been complaining about it, they have admitted that their supplier sometimes gives them bad fish and that they will pass the complaint on.

I can only think they we have been considered as stupid tourists that don't have a clue.

Service was charming. Food imaginative with a focus on local specialities. Starters good as were the pasta and the meat dishes particularly the t bone steak. Good selection of wine and warm friendly service.

We were excited as it came highly recommended by our hotel. My partner and I sat down and didn’t feel welcome. The bread was so so (not worth it). I speak Italian and ordered a decent enough meal the polenta with baccala - the spaghetti with clams - and the suckling pig - but the kicker was that as we got the meal, I noticed that the dishes we received looked different than that of other tables (I ordered the same for the most part as many were locals). I didn’t get why. The tables around us were asked how their food was - and if they were enjoying it / and can the waiter get them anything else. Our food was sort of plopped our order on the table. We needed to get the waiters attention to get another bottle of water. I actually got up and got my own fresh pepper mill. Hmmmm. We finish and were looking forward to the vin santo and cantuccini - but none came. Why? I hate to be THAT gay but why else? Every other table had it...no other gay couples in sight. We feel sad to have to write this review in this day and age. Will never go back.
