We had a pleasant stay in this lovely establishment. Large rooms and very centrally located. Lovely decor. We will make use of them again because it is good value for money. Friendly owner with time to make travel & restaurant suggestions.

I stayed here around April 2017. It was an amazing experience... We booked the " Cuore Giallo" room which was a very warm and comfortable room! Extremely cozy guest house and the owners very friendly.... I really miss it!
I strongly recommend it!

Room tip: Cuore Giallo - Amazing!

Wonderful location!! Close to everything. Comfortable bed, and our water pressure was quite ok in the shower, wifi worked well. We had the red/pink room which was a big room (double and a single bed, and side table and chairs, two windows), with a chandelier and quirky decor. We loved it - it felt authentic like it was like someone's home. We arrived on a late flight but had let them know, and someone was there to greet us when we rang the buzzer. Coming and going over the 5 days of our stay, we didn't see any staff at all, which we quite liked because it even more felt like a home rather than a hotel. There was someone there on the last day though to organise payment for the room (we used a card but they need cash for the Florence tourist tax component), and to leave our luggage with them for a few hours. One of the days we had a problem with our toilet in the morning, so we left a note on the outside of the door and it was fixed by the time we got back to the room in the afternoon - no problem. We didn't bother with the coffee machine etc they provide because Florence is full of wonderful cafes, and they did tell us that breakfast wasn't included and it was only there more as a courtesy. The stairs - three flights but cool old steps, and it's part of the character of Florence. Besides, they helped us work off all the delicious Florence food we ate! Next trip to Florence we would definitely try to book here again as first preference.

Room tip: Originally I had tried to book another room because I liked the photos, but it was booked. Loved the red/pink room.

We liked the theme of the apartment, vintage looking and it was as if we borrowed it from a local family. A very nice experience away from the 4/5 star feeling.
A few things we wished we wouldn't experience: 1. A very bad smell due to the old sewage system of the apartment. (They did provide an air freshener but it didn't help) 2. The shower box was not in the bathroom... It was inside the bedroom and specifically next to the bed. Its inconvenient to shower when someone is sleeping, or if you booked this room with friends rather than your wife or family. So no privacy 3. Water pressure is weak 4. The room needed further cleaning in my own opinion, but in general it was ok. 5. A little lizard was in the room over our heads the whole night, which made us uncomfortable 6. The pantry area is shared between all guests, which is ok, however if you wake up early, fruits and some pastries wont be available, since other people might have used them the night before, or if you wake up late, the same result, others beat you to it, and there's no one available in the morning to refill the pantry basket. 7. Staff are not always available, but they can be through a phone call, which i believe is inconvenient for some guests who wouldn't like to use their phones roaming Which might cost them a fortune. 8. No credit card machine! So have your money ready to pay cash while checking out 9. No elevator, due to it being an old building, but still inconvenient if you have big luggages because its located on the 3rd floor, with steep stairs. Help will not be offered, as i said they are not always available.

We received a warm welcome to Florence by the owner and staff. We were able to roam freely in and out at anytime by having access to all entrance and room keys/codes. There was free wifi and complimentary snacks and coffee that could be enjoyed on the small balcony. The room was spacious, clean and fully equipped including small comforts such as slippers and extra towels, soap and a hairdryer. The room had air conditioning! We were also able to leave our bags after checkout for the day.
