Near the tourist spots where you can shop. Near that beautiful cathedral. But still pretty quiet place. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice, comfortable and clean spot in Florence. The breakfasts are good too.

Stayed: June 2017, travelled as a couple

...is not enough to see the place. We stayed at Residenza Il Villino on 31 5 17 and again on 6 6 17. Il Villino is close enough to the city centre to allow us to explore as much as possible and also only about six miles from the airport. The owner (Neri) and his son speak excellent English and simply cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and advise on how to best to use the time you have in the city. IL Villino is fascinating in itself, with views of the Duomo. We will certainly return for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Higher up means a better view.......

From the moment we walked through the elegant entryway, we were treated like friends by Neri and his son-in-law, Giovanni. Il Villino B&B was the perfect base for our stay in Florence. It's on a quiet street and quick walk to all the sights. Our first evening, Neri recommended we dine at Caesarino's which seems to be a local's favorite as well as parents visiting students studying in Florence. It was a friendly atmosphere and the food phenomenal. One of our best dinners during our trip to Italy. Our room at Il Villino made us feel as though we were in a palatial villa. We loved the high ceilings and tilework and it was so beautifully appointed in Florentine furniture. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable for our 3-night stay in June. Breakfast on the patio every morning was so relaxing and delicious. It's the perfect setting for sipping wine after a day of touring, comparing notes with other guests, and making new friends. On our departure day, Neri and Giovanni were so accommodating in storing our backpacks while we did some more exploring before we returned to retrieve and depart for the train. We miss Neri's Florentine hospitality and knowledge of Tuscan history. If you're looking for a welcoming, romantic, quiet, and perfectly-located B&B in Florence, Il Villino is your place!

Wonderful four night stay. It was quiet, clean, well kept, and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice self service buffet. The minibar prices were great. Neri and Giovanni were knowledgeable and welcoming. They are centrally located we had no more than a 15 minute walk to any site we visited. We literally have no complaints. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.

Friendly people, reasonable breakfast, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The courtyard was a nice surprise. This b and b delivers well. A fair price for a fair service in the middle of florence. Why not 5*? You may ask. I guess it was missing that special ingredient where you say : "that was great!". For one thing, their recommendation of Natalino as a "great restaurant" was just not accurate. There are so many restaurant in Florence of very high quality, one has to wonder why that one?

Room Tip: 2nd floor likely best.

Dear guests, thank you for your review. I have to say that I do not understand your point.
Why not? Natalino is an old, well-known and good restaurant. One of the very few we recommend, being still a place where locals go. I do not agree with you, in Florence there are many restaurants just for tourists, but a few of high quality. Furthermore, Residenza Il Villino and the restaurant are two different things, I wonder why mixing. Kind regards, Neri
