The Pitti Palace Hotel is at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio; it would be difficult to imagine a better location in Florence! Take the elevator from your WOW moderno room with instant hot water and great air conditioning, set foot outside the beautiful, marble-floored lobby and you are a short walk from the Pitti Palace, the Uffizi and the Palazzo Vecchio. The staff is absolutely terrific, all are fluent English speakers and the roof restaurant/bar is superb. The breakfast is sumptuous and varied. This place and its employees will charm you quite as much as the city itself! HIGHET RECOMMENDATION!
thank you for taking time to write this kind comments about us.
We look forward to see you again in Florence.
We were travelling in Italy as a party of 12 for my 70th birthday celebrations and were at the Pitti Palace for the big day itself. As some of us can't walk too far I needed to find a hotel close to the city centre and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Breakfast on the top terrace overlooking the Duomo was great and we also had my birthday dinner there. There wasn't a big choice on the menu but everyone was very happy with what they ordered.
Ponte Vecchio across the road and Uffizi around the corner on the other side. Duomo also very close. Recommend that you get tickets in advance for sites.
It was great to have you here celebrating your 70th birthday and we are truly happy you all had a great time in Florence with us. It's a real pleasure to receive such a feedback.
We hope to welcome you again in Florence.
I would rate this an excellent hotel if we were more people oriented. The hotel is an ideal location to walk through the shopping on the Ponte Vecchio and the large, central Florence shopping area. There is lots going on and crowds of people. Many people may find this atmosphere enchanting. The room we had didn't have the best view but it was quiet and homey. The restaurant on the sixth floor of the hotel does have a great view and we liked it for breakfast as well as dinner.
The hotel is location virtually on the river and in very close vercinity to the world famous Ponte Vecchio which itself thrives with almost crushing activity - a lot of fun. Another Joey Netherhill novel was nearing completion and the small room I had taken was more that adquate for my needs. The room was tydy with a good writing desk, single robe and drawers, a/c, TV, complimentary tea and coffee but no bar fridge (not sure if larger rooms might be equipped). There was a small but nice clean toilet with the one small disadvange being a step in shower bath. Not good if you have leg problems. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lounge and dining areas were lovely with views of the city - which are spectular. Wifi was good and free.
Super location straight out of the front door onto the Ponte Vecchio. Very good room and, given the location, we were really pleased with how quiet it was at night. Breakfast was appetizing with a good range of food. We also had a delightful evening meal in the restaurant with fantastic views of the city at night.
Thank you for your kind comments, and for taking the time to send them out.
We hope to have you again with us.
