First of all, let me say how truly wonderful this hotel is, and how delighted we were to spend two wonderful nights here.
Then let me apologise (again) to the two people whose room my teenage sons managed to gain access to in the belief it was their own.
The entire staff are so friendly, helpful and eager to please - which is perhaps how the sweet chambermaid came to the aid of my children and gave them access to exactly the right room on exactly the wrong floor. Whilst I tend to consider my offspring to be intelligent, well-rounded and numerate, they have clearly not mastered the buttons in elevators, and assume the closing and subsequent opening of the doors is all that’s required to move from one floor to another.
Anyway, other than the friendly, attentive (and ever-so-slightly gullible) staff, the breakfast had everything we required, and lots and lots we didn’t, but ate anyway.
The rooms were beautifully appointed, stylishly presented and looked immaculate as though we were the first to use them. The bathroom, although smallish was also beautiful - and the contemporary lighting is worthy of a mention.
I’d certainly go back, assuming there are no injunctions in force on my family.More
