An Italian-American friend and I decided to spend two wks here to get a gauge of our language skills. Not true beginners, but it was a little challenging (good!!!) to take classes taught entirely in Italian. Sara was a great director and we both enjoyed Giuliano. I had the wonderful Paolo, who I can still hear saying " allora! bene, bene, bene", and he had Costanza, who he truly enjoyed having as an instructor. I must admit that we took off to explore Firenze and the Oltrarno rather than diligently studying (!), but we are resolute in trying to enhance our speaking skills. The week following the class we practiced speaking a lot in Bologna, Modena, Lake Como and Cinque Terre.
The classes are small, which is a great way to learn, and the impromptu conversations about any and all topics was stimulating.
I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to sharpen your Italian language skills. Several people were there for almost three months. The passion of the instructors ( some there 23-31 yrs ) is a testament to their dedication.

The best teachers, with a friendly attitude and an easy manner with the teacher. Housed in the most beautifully maintained old palazzo I've been in outside of a museum. Highly, highly recommend it.
