I loved this perfect bed and breakfast, our hosts were friendly and helpful, our room was clean, comfortable and had a lovely balcony. Location is very good. Easy to find and within 10 minutes walk to the centre. Would definitely recommend and will use again next time we visit this beautiful city.

Room tip: Room 3 and room 4 have beautiful balconies...a nice extra touch.

Well stayed there for couple of nights in June '17. This property is run by two sisters Iliana & Lilia. The property is small and has 7 rooms on B& B basis. Its good property as per its price. Location of Main train station is hardy 10 mins by walk and main Duomo and nearby places to see are also walkable from here. Also they are very helpful and warm.
I personally like this place. They do have free WIFI and an electric kettle in room.

Room tip: Its on a street and view is not something you look forward to after staying here.

VEry clean , Attention to almost every small detail , I'm sure that donattela and Liliana are treating/holding the place not less then their private home . Only 7 Rooms, space ! inside the rooms warm atmosphere , it is not 5 stars hotel a modest good place for a visitor with a spending budjet , for Donattela and Liliana you are like a personal guest with Name and Face and not :"THe Guest from Room 0000" Breakfeaqst --enough selection! and eat as much as you can, Good different kinds of Coffe ' if you like tea ? why not? which kind pleasE? , if the weather is not cold you can seat and eat on the Balcony , if you need an advise or some help , the Two are behind you .TRANSPORTATION: opposite the enterance 2 Busses lines , Hey, Amigo , Senior : nearby at the Street corner you will find a TABACCHI to buy Tickets , and don't forget after you enterd the Buss you can travel 90 Min. and with same ticket move/pass from One Buss to another, Shops and Restaurants are nearby . at breakfeast time you can neet (if you like) other guest s mostly Italians and have a chat with some . WE recommand , stayed 3 nights ,
Donattella and Liliana Thanks for your Warmth and Hospitality

Our room at the Residenza Betta was of above-average size, with plenty of living and storage space for our family of three. The furniture was quite impressive and the ceilings high and beautifully decorated. It all makes you feel you are in Florence. Both our double bed and our ten year old boy's foldable bed were large and comfortable, and the wifi was fast and always there.

Brekfast was simple but adequate, served in a rather cramped little room, albeit with a pleasant view of the yard. The two ladies running the place were helpful, they even prepared a simple breakfast for us 30 minutes before the official starting time of 8 am, and the one not speaking English always made up for it with her friendly smile.

Unfortunately I can't give this B&B higher rating, for two reasons:
1) Although it's only a 20-minute walk from the SM Novella railway station, it's not a pleasant walk, the narrow Via Nazionale being always choked with traffic and the tiny pavements too narrow for a tourist with luggage. There is a bus stop right in front of the B&B but the bus takes longer then walking and because of the one-way system, we never figured out how to use the bus from the station to Residenza Betta. Please note - we are keen walkers and enjoyed the daily walk into the centre of Florence (and as far as Piazzale Michelangelo!), it's just that the bus would have come handy for transporting our luggage to and from the station.
2) What really lets this place down are the bathroom toilet pumping installations which are unseemly, noisy and - yes - smelly at times. A sorry contrast with our elegant bedroom. Clearly, investing in upgrading the toilets would remove a major flaw that for some people may spoil their stay in an otherwise charming, good-value establishment.

Room tip: Request a room with a good toilet.

Dear Josef,
thanks for your feedback, the opinion of our guest is always very important for us.
For what concern our breakfast we think that it is complete with many things to eat both sweet and savoury and every morning there is at least a homemade cake.
The breakfast room is not so spacious but there are 6 table for 2 persons and from now on our guest can have breakfast also in the balcony.
The center of Florence is very old and most of the street are narrow and have tiny pavements and Via Nazionale is one of the few street where also the cars can circulate to reach the main train station but this problem can be eliminated taking one of the adjacent street probably less congested.
The bus stop to reach the main train station is near our street door and to came back there is the bus stop in the parallel street of Via Poliziano ( Via Leone X), 3 minutes walking to reach the B&B, also this problem was easily delate ....you could ask us ...
Most of our bathrooms have the installation with pump but these are not old and they are inspected every 2 months, it is true that when the water flow you can hear a little bit of noise.
thanks again
Donatella and Liliana
