I create as an account just to review this place. I am sad to have only discovered this place on my last day in Florence. Ordered a pizza to share (highly suggest it) I had the tuna which was amazing! Their wine selection is awesome and their coffee and dessert was on point. What really sealed the deal for me was their service, Giacomo was a hoot and the rest of the was attentive and professional a true team effort! Don’t leave Florence without visiting (you also know it’s good because the locals eat here)

Everything about this trattoria was fabulous. Delicious food, perfect service, and a very nice atmosphere. One of the very best (of many) meals we have ever had in Florence. Be sure to reserve a table ahead of time - we saw quite a few people turned away for lack of reservations on a week night.

We went here at the suggestion of our local rep. It was authentic Italian food, menu was also in Italian with no English translation, but the waiter understood our questions. The food was very good and well presented. I is essential to book otherwise you will not get in without a long wait.

We asked our hotel to make a booking here as we had heard good things about it. On arrival we were welcomed and taken to a back room of the restaurant. We were sat in the corner with a good view of the room, at first I was a bit worried as we were next to the toilet but it was tucked out of the way so didn't bother us. The restaurant was buzzy and busy for a Thursday evening in February. We ordered glasses of prosecco and a half bottle of chianti classico. The waiter was very helpful. For our first course we had a soup with cavolo nero and pasta with pancetta, chilli and tomato sauce, both were delicious. The second course came the moment our plates were taken which took us by surprise. We had the veal cutlet and roast pork, plus potatoes and white beans on the side. It was all tasty but parts of the pork were very salty, I like well seasoned food but it was a bit too much. For dessert we shared the pear in a kind of toffee sauce and the homemade biscotti with vin santo, both were very good. We really enjoyed the food, service and buzzy atmosphere but part way through our meal the waiters started to go in and out of a side door (store room?) and there was a freezing draft each time they did. It wasn't their fault but it meant that it spoilt our enjoyment a little. Overall this place is worth visiting even though it is a little bit away from the centre.

What a great experience. The food was simple, flavorful, plentiful, and inexpensive. We were the only non-locals in the room. The hand-written menu was a challenge to our rudimentary Italian language skills...so it came as a relief that our waiter spoke near-perfect English. Memorable dishes included: two pasta entrees (one tortellini in meat sauce; the other maccheroni in a spicy tomato sauce); an oversize pork chop; roasted lamb. I had an unusual poached pear in a red wine reduction sauce. A delightful restaurant, just far enough out of town and off the beaten track to escape the tourist hordes.
