This hotel looks stunning from the road. It looks very grand. It is very austere but very comfortable. The bedrooms were dull and monastic but very clean. Towels were old fashioned linen. Soap, etc was provided on a daily basis. The bed was very comfortable. The corridors were stark. They would be quite creepy if you were on your own at night. The WiFi worked in our rooms as we complained and it was fixed for the next day. Breakfast was fine but basic. I felt fresh coffee would have been better than machines of pre-prepared tea and coffee. There were the usual cereals, fruit, meat, cheeses, bread and jams / honey. A toaster would be advantageous. Enjoyed the surroundings but not very welcoming.
Cortona is a stunning place but not for people with mobility issues or in wheelchairs.More
