Manganelli Palace is situated in a very old buildning, close to the main street (Via Etnea) of Catania, which means that you have good access to things to see and do in the city.
The hotel is on the fourth floor so you will have to use the small and oldfashioned elevator to get to the reception (if you don´t prefer to take the stairs...).
The staff was welcoming and the room quite nice. The bed in our room was a little bit stiff and narrow for two, but maybe we just got what we paid for (we hadn´t asked for at wider bed). Breakfast was OK, with something for all tastes.
If you come to Catania by air it might be a wise thing to ask te hotel to arrange transport from the airport. This will cost just 25 Euros and was really worth it. If you want to save money there are shuttle buses between the airport for four Euros a ticket. There are bus stops a few minutes walk from the hotel.More
