Just returned from a week at the Oasis.
Lovely relaxing break, hotel spotlessly clean, bed sheets changed regularly and clean towels everyday.
Food excellent although a little predictable at breakfast.
Pool area lovely, always plenty of sun beds available.
Beautiful beach just over the road through woodland.
Our only dissapointment was the entertainment at night and the walls being too thin between the rooms ( you can hear everything !! )

Room Tip: One not facing the pool as you can hear the music till after midnight.

First time in Sardinia and we were not disappointed.
Hotel spotlessly clean, shower excellent and water always hot. Bedrooms okay everything you need except for a kettle etc.
Staff very friendly.
Resturant excellent serving very varied food cooked Sardinia style. Always choice of pasta, fish and a meat. The salads were excellent and always very varied.
The chef was very helpful explaining all the dishes and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Just across the road was a beautiful beach, sea was crystal clear.
We walked into Algerho which was an easy35 minute walk. We went at night and also in the day. There is a bus service which passes the hotel.
The open top bus from Algerho was excellent with stunning views.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool

We stayed for a week early in June and had a great holiday.
Overall, this is one of the most relaxing hotels I have stayed in. I had read some of the differing reviews but found that the hotel was spotlessly clean, served restaurant quality food, staff were helpful and friendly, gardens were immaculately manicured and the pool area was superb.
It is a great base to explore the area and there is much to recommend it.
Our room was on the second floor and had been recently renovated. Everything was like new and the air conditioning was the most efficient I have ever come across. Bathroom and facilities were excellent.
I had read about the noise from other rooms and from time to time we did hear some noise from the adjacent rooms - but nothing outrageous. It is an older building but extremely well maintained. It really depends on who your neighbours are.
It is about a 45 minute walk to the old town or a 10 minute ride on the local AF bus, costing €1.10 each way if you buy tickets in advance at reception.
A visit to the old town is a must...

Very nice hotel. Had a room overlooking the pool which was a very well maintained and pretty area. Plenty of sun loungers. Hotel room small but perfectly adequate with a huge balcony, and as someone else has mentioned, a lounger wouldn't go amiss on it and in fact would be such a lovely touch, I think they should consider it. It would certainly give it the wow factor. Lovely shower and fresh towels every day. Restaurant staff fabulous. All staff efficient. Food very good. Ideally placed for the very nice beach but a good 30 min walk into Alghero old town. But well worth the effort. Beautiful place. Buses available for those feeling less lively! Travelled solo but felt very relaxed and safe here. Nice bunch of people at the hotel which is luck of the draw I guess but all added to a positive experience. Would go back to Alghero and to the Oasis. If I could change anything it would be kettle needs to be in room and the bar in the hotel should be utilised instead of relying on pool bar only, so that people have a choice. Oh and safe too expensive at 3 Euro a day. Should be free or 1 Euro a day max. Especially for the solo traveller!

Room Tip: Ask for pool view room

Basic hotel, little old fashioned. No flexibility of the staf - procedures are more important than customer intimacy. E.g. not allowed to take coffe from the breakfist to the hotel room. At 6 PM chains around the swimming pool. Employees are not smiling. One big plus - the bar man at the swimming pool - we arrived late and provided some drinks and food.
