This is one of the only hotels to have a great [balcony] view of the harbour. Much of Taranto's 'waterfronts' are either restricted for Military use, abandoned/inaccessible, or privately-owned. Although you can't GET to the water from the hotel [which has an outdoor pool], it is a nice view.
The Reception and Breakfast Room staff are friendly and helpful [I didn't experience the Dining Room, thus cannot comment.]
Housekeeping was good, rating only 2 of 5 bulls-in-the-china-shop* [relatively quiet as they performed their tasks]. *Bull Scale: 1=quietest; 5=noisiest
Wi-Fi/TV: Very Good [down: 47Mbps; up:19.51Mbps]; Wide variety of TV channels.
There are indoor-outdoor reading/lounging areas, and a PC for internet+printing.
For some, the short walks [~15 minutes] to shopping areas or the Castle area, might be daunting. However, just a few blocks away from the hotel, there is a host of buses that can take you into the 'city'.
There are a few cafes in the area, and a few restaurants [I didn't dine in any], and the hotel has a restaurant+bar.
