We stayed here for 3 nights in July at the start of a tour of Italy. Initially we were given a twin room tho we'd specifically requested a double, and also the room had no electricity which caused the security guys much confusion. However, staff were fab, they changed our room right away and gave us a room in the sister hotel of Hotel Piccollo as Martini we were told was full. We were given a lovely huge family room, (2 rooms 1 double and 1 twin), staff were friendly, food was great and even has a gym tho we didn't have time to use this. Was very easy to find, 5 minute walk from the train station, tho this is where the airport bus drops you off. All attractions, Arena, Piazza Erbe and Bra only 15 / 20 minute walk away. Was a nice walk so if you like a bit of exercise this is totally ideal, I'd thoroughly recommend staying here. Conveniently when we arrived, there was a Latin Lovers Festival on at the park nearby, great dancing, great night, all in all a great time in Verona.

Dear Emma, thank you so much for your beautiful review!
Sorry for the little electricity inconvenient: luckily it was a small thing and we have fixed it quickly :-)

Hotel Martini is conveniently positioned from both the train station in Verona (5-7 minute walk) and the city center (10-15 minute walk). Breakfast is fine, eggs and yogurt with cereal is what we needed, free wifi and the staff was very nice.

This hotel could have got 5 stars from me, as it is modern, clean, spacious, and has an excellent choice for breakfast. However, I have two problems with it. When we arrived, with the temperature over 30, we had to wait for 15 minutes for reception to connect the air conditioning! While there is a control panel in the room, this is not activated. On the 2nd afternoon, when we returned for a rest, before attending the opera, the man on reception was not happy to allow us to have air conditioning in our room. This in spite of the fact that the room was 50% more expensive on that night because there was an opera performance! Which is my second issue. So I would not stay here again.

Dear friend,
I think you are confusing our Hotel with another one and for 2 reasons:
1) there are NEVER men working at the reception in the afternoon, only young ladies.
2) the air conditioning in this season is ALWAYS switched on, except in the morning (from 9 am to 2 pm) during the cleaning operations.
So could be that the first day we have given the room to you before check in time (2 pm) to give you a better service and could be that the air conditioning was switched off since the room was just freshly cleaned, but after 2 pm air conditioning is always working.

Picked this hotel because it was by station, an 8 min walk. It was a budget style hotel. It was very nicely decorated but basic furnishings. Our room was spacious, very clean and had an excellent bathroom. There was a outside sitting area, and also a bar. The morning breakfast was excellent. It was about a 10 min walk into Verona. Very good value for money.

Thank you dear guest!
It is only 400 metres to the train station, not really more than 5 minutes walking.
I don't understand this 'basic furnishings'...
In the room there are all the furnitures a guest needs: a desk with a chair and a lamp, a very very huge luggage stand, a large comfortable bed with 2 nightstands, a very convenient hanger, a pair of deep shelves, a mirror and plenty of sockets. In the bigger rooms there is also an armchair!
Just it is a minimal style furniture: very clean and easy. Not 'granma's' upholstery or
or dusty knickknacks!

We booked the Martin due to its location , reasonable ratings and of course price ( we were in Verona for the Black Sabbath concert )
Firstly the location was very convenient for the Arena and Bra Piazza with it taking around 25 minutes stroll into the centre.
The room was modern and well equipped, the shower had good water pressure and didn't dribble on you at peak times.
Breakfast was nice enough although separate tables were few and you did end up sat next to someone ....
Reception staff were pleasant and helpful.
So all in all a nice well priced hotel.
No hesitation in recommending.

Thank you dear guests!
We would have appreciated a higher valuation, but that's okay, 'cause you left a very nice comment.
