Arrived at the train station early on Friday, followed the clear directions on the website and got to the hotel within minutes. (Note: if you've never been to Italy, the green man does not guarantee your safety when crossing. Be wary!)
As promised our luggage was looked after along with a million other bags, we were given a map by the friendly morning receptionist and off we trotted. The bits of Verona that you'll want to see are a 15-20 minute walk away at an average speed. It is a simple, safe route once you figure out the traffic. If you have mobility issues, find somewhere closer!
Once back at the hotel we were checked in efficiently and politely (there was no queue when we got there but one had formed by the time we had been seen to - c'est la vie!)
The room itself was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a weekend stop over. The fridge was very well received in 30+ degrees.
Took a few minutes to get to grips with the air conditioning - there are many settings and a thermostat on the panel, but eventually I realised that it was either off or on (i think??)
The walls are a little thin, but no rowdy guests disturbed us. The shower was a little small but we're a slim couple so no bother there. It's my fault i kept turning the pressure down...Arrived at the train station early on Friday, followed the clear directions on the website and got to the hotel within minutes. Had breakfast on the Sunday - we didn't really like the juice from the juice machine but everything else was seemingly fresh and often replenished.
A good hotel for those with a budget, I guess. Nothing too exceptional but nothing too poor about it either. More
