A very nice place once you’ve found it. It's just a few steps off Corso Porta Nuovo, A main drag in Verona but the hotel entrance itself is off of a sort of alleyway that doesn't give the greatest first impression. Once inside though, this place is old school elegant looking with a very nice high ceilinged sitting area just off the lobby and a great little semi hidden bar area. Rooms are average size but with all the modern amenities such as an in room safe, fridge, TV, nice bathroom, full length mirror and even a small balcony. There are other nice touches in the room as well including wainscoting and some elegant details in the paint or wallpaper. Windows are double pane and do a solid job at absorbing sound and they even have the ubiquitous roll down European shutters if you want total privacy. In our room we appreciated the latter two as we were on the 1st floor (2nd floor in the US) and the alleyway/driveway was just below us. It wasn't terribly noisy but it is a minor pedestrian traffic corridor and supply/delivery trucks arrive fairly early and use the passageway. A higher floor room would definitely mitigate that as an issue so if you're a light/late sleeper maybe request something higher up. It appears that there used to be a Scottish pub right across the alley but it seems shuttered now (summer 2018) that could be a plus or minus depending on your bent . Staff are top notch here and the front counter folks we dealt with were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They all seemed to speak at least 3 languages (Italian, German and English) very well and were always very happy to help or accommodate any need we had however big or small. Overall this is quite a nice place and fairly centrally located near plenty of other places and things to see in Verona. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it highly.
