The hotel is an Italian *** hotel. It is well run and the staff is multilingual and very helpful. The breakfast is substantial and included in the room rate (at least it was when we booked through Booking.com). The rooms are modest size and completely adequate for a stay in Venice. Our visit was nine days and we had no problems of any sort. The room was well serviced. A most attractive feature is its location. Many reviews will talk about about proximity to S. Marco but a bigger attraction in terms of location is the closeness to the Zaccaria vaparetto stop. It is a one bridge five minute or less walk if you come in from the airport. If you come in from P. Roma on the #1 vaparetto, that stop is right at the end of calle de Rasse, where the hotel is located. This saves moving luggage over longer distances into the city. We have stayed here several times over many years and it has always been a positive experience.

Hotel itself was very clean with very welcoming staff. Room was no-thrills, however was perfect for a short stay in Venice. Breakfast was continental, however had a decent selection of pastry and cold meats.

San Marco square is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel, making this an ideal location to explore Venice.

Getting from the airport was very easy as you can take a waterbus (vaporetto) directly to the San Zachariah stop which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and is very easy to find.

We visited this hotel in late July and it was a horrible experience! The rooms themselves are somewhat okay but I want to specifically note the dirtiness of the hotel and breakfast. The little rug in the bathroom had mold underneath it, the light in the entrance was flickering the whole day and the bedsheets had little stains on them. When we opened the window we found window sill with pigeon poop all over! The shower head barely worked making it almost impossible to take a shower which we found rather unacceptable! When we booked the hotel we specified that we need a queen bed but instead received a room with two single beds put together. When we asked to change the room they told us that all the rooms with queen beds were not available. They shouldn’t be giving an option that is not available in the first place. When we woke up we felt so tense in our back, regardless we got ready and went down to have breakfast, the table cloths were stained, the waitress didn’t bother to offer us a clean table and the paper placemats in front of us were given from a table next to us and had droplets of coffee on them. Overall breakfast is very small, we asked for coffee latte and were brought a watery coffee with some hot milk on the side. Honestly we didn’t even touch the food, we hurried and had our coffee just so we could leave as soon as possible. While we were finishing up, the waitress started cleaning the tables, she folded the dirty table cloths as to use them for later right in front of our eyes. As we were going upstairs the two maids were sitting on the staircase braiding each other’s hair! I understand that it is a 3 star hotel but I think these things are absolutely unacceptable especially when the cost per night is 140$
Think a hundered times before going to this hotel! You can find much better hotels at the same location!

This hotel is overall a GOOD. The decor is quite dated and the rooms themselves felt stuffy and somewhat old. It does serve a purpose and it is very centralised so that if you are going to just explore the city of Venice and need a place to sleep that is fairley affordable this is the place for you.

Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.

Room Tip: The breakfast is continental so don't expect bacon!

The rooms were very clean, And the staff were very helpful. There is free wifi. The only problem I faced was breakfast, which was very limited especially if you don’t eat meat. But all in all, a wonderful stay that I would most definitely repeat.
