Fifth trip to Venice and delighted to find another hidden gem. When visiting Venice always stay in St Marks district of Venice usually in October or March. Hotel staff very welcoming and friendly. We were upgraded to a superior room, which was a really nice room with a huge bathroom and shower, extremely clean, really comfy bed, huge TV and unusually for Italian hotels a coffee machine. Breakfast room was lovely and plenty of choices (hot and cold food) available. Quiet location but just a 5 minute walk to St Marks Square. Would definitely not hesitate on staying here again.
Thank you to everyone at Palazzo San Lorenzo.

Stayed here for 5 nights in November arriving near the end of the terrible flooding. The hotel was fabulous although the ground floor had been quite badly damaged with the water. All rooms were unaffected....phew.... the breakfast room was ruined so breakfast was served next door in a sister hotel, so not a problem. The rooms, service and staff were all just brilliant and the location just great. We would not hesitate to stay here again

We have just had 2 nights at the palazzo San Lorenzo ,the hotel is immaculate the whole experience was flawless.we would defiantly recommend it!! The location was brilliant with the local attractions being no more than a 10 minute walk away and the ferry terminal being a 5 minute walk away.

The outside of the hotel is so deceptive, it was beautiful inside despite suffering from the floods which were happening at the time, apart from 1 Receptionist, the staff were lovely, couldn't fault them maybe a little bit more English would be come. The Restaurant was flood damaged so we had our breakfast in the Hotel next door. We fell in love with Venice even when we had to walk on gangplanks until the water subsided. Every one was friendly.

Hotel is in a great location - away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to everything. Staff are friendly and rooms are very clean. Bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were a good size.

Downsides: We had a room on the bottom floor and as the walls and ceiling are thin, we heard everyone coming in and out of the hallway, as well as the people in the room above us. There was a construction site next door, which we weren’t informed about. Thus there was no sleeping past 7:30am, as it was really loud after that time. Lastly, there seemed to be an electrical issue, probably due to all the flooding. The tv kept freezing and all through the night there was weird clicking and static noises if we tried to have the aircon on.

If you stay here, as for a room on the top floor and then you should really enjoy your stay!
