This palace museum is opulence extreme. Every room is ornate to the point of saturation. You could spend an entire day in the armory, if that is your taste - beautiful collection. Worth the trip.

A veritable collection of armour and weapons spanning seven centuries and several continents started by King Carlo Alberto in 1837. Pride of place is given to his stuffed horse which stand among cases of guns and swords.

The rich collection of weapons from ancient (a few even from Neolithic) times must be one of the best in the world. The impression one gets here as in Torino in general is that the Kingdom of Savoy was one of the great empires of the world and not a tiny spot on the map as in reality. The weapons are beautifully arranged, but miss explanations.
