The House of Savoy's armour and arms collection fills two grand halls and is truly magnificent. The highlights include complete armours from Giovanpaolo Negroli, Pompeo Della Cesa and Kolman Helmschmied. Unfortunately, the documentation is not at the level these stunning works of art and craftsmanship would deserve. Your visit might be more rewarding if you speak Italian since only some of the items are briefly explained in English; for instance, expect a showcase full of Negroli masterpieces described only in Italian. Nevertheless, Armeria Reale alone is more than worth buying the ticket that also includes the Royal Palace, Sabauda Gallery and the Archeological Museum.
