An old -fashioned hotel which has been updated. Comfortable very large room with sofa, fridge and good-sized double bed.Spotlessly clean and all mod. cons.as expected for a good quality 3 star hotel ( except tea and coffee making facilities which are not standard in any Italian hotel ).Quiet room as we overlooked the central courtyard not the busy main road and there was effective double glazing to the windows.
Breakfast was a plentiful choice self-service, tasty and European in style ie not just coffee and a croissant.
Overall a very pleasant experience with helpful and courteous staff.

Room tip: Ask for a room overlooking the square or the central courtyard

This hotel is in a perfect location for shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, but the room was at the front of the hotel with no air conditioning available. This meant having to sleep with the windows open. The hotel is near the train station, the roads, park opposite are constantly noisy. Difficult to get a good night's sleep.
On the positive side, the room and bathroom were spacious and clean
Breakfast was very good and the staff in the breakfast room were very helpful.
Couldn't quite understand why some guests did not pay for water used from the fridge in the room and others had to pay. Worth asking if you are charged, why? (not a vast amount but it was the principle)!

Room tip: Rooms overlooking courtyard are quieter

Central location (difficult to find parking); nice old - well kept - architecture; rooms with huge ceilings; no luxury but everything you need is there; fast reliable internet; nice breakfast buffet; helpful staff; clean bathrooms. Some rooms with street view may not be totally quiet - but little traffic at night. Overall a hotel to be warmly recommended: old fashioned quality at reasonable prices.

I stayed in a single room with breakfast included. I was here for business.
The room was big and very clean, although old. The bathroom was especially clean: I have rarely seen such a clean bathroom in a hotel.
The basin was outside the bathroom, which was strange but ok to me.
The bed was comfortable but high as the old bed are.
Breakfast was good and the breakfast lounge, as well as the hall, were elegant.
The reception staff of the morning could have been more polite.

Hotel Roma e Rocca - Nice old building on a nice porticoed street (full of lovely looking chocolate shops). The ‘piazza’ across the street is actually a park. You can see the hotel from the front of the train station. The room was large and clean with tons of space to lay things out, nice newly tiled large bathroom, great AC, mini fridge, free wifi (a little slow), lift. There is a ‘Brek’s Cafeteria’ two minutes down the street, a decent self service chain restaurant (several in northern Italy) that prepares the food as you order it.
