The hotel Gran Mogol is great to stay in Torino for a couple of days. All is near, a walking distance to the main squares, the main cathedrals, shopping, the main museums, everything just there. The reception area is pretty small, but the breakfast room is nice, down at the basement, one floor down from the reception area. The rooms are quite spacious. No complaints though nothing grand.

Room tip: Room 319 has an additional front room with a sofa bed, but if you open up the sofa bed it would be difficult to walk to the bathroom.

Had an excellent experience staying in this hotel for our weekend away in Turin. We were going to the Juventus match that was on that weekend, and the tickets were being delivered to the hotel, so naturally I was nervous to make sure the tickets arrived and were looked after. The staff were extremely helpful over the phone, spoke great English, and emailed me once the tickets had arrived to assure me that they would look after them. As soon as we arrived, they were handed to us, so that was an excellent start.

Our room was very nice, a comfortable bed (2 singles put into a double although it felt just like a double) with a TV and good floor space. The bathroom was nice, the shower could have been a little stronger, but was warm and nice anyway.

Breakfast was great every morning, a whole range of things on offer, I had bacon, scrambled eggs, a chocolate croissant and cereal every morning with some nice red orange juice, which set me up ready to go out and explore the beautiful city of Turin. Excellent food and far more than I was expecting from a free breakfast.

Housekeeping was superb, our room was in spotless condition every evening when we returned, which is just what you want after a long day out and about.

The location of the hotel is absolutely excellent. It's a 2 minute walk to the main train station Porta Nuova and is equally close to all the sops and restaurants in the centre of the city, makes it very easy to get around!

There was a slight mishap booking our return taxi - we booked it on arrival but when we came to depart there was no record of it in the computer. Fearing we may had to wait a while, it was a relief to be told that another one would be there within 2 minutes, and sure enough less than a minute later we were getting into our taxi, and this was at 7:30am. The hotel is about 30 minutes away from Turin Airport, for 2 of us it cost us €35 each way (travelling at 6:30pm on arrival and 7:30am on departure), which wasn't bad.

All in all, our room was great, slightly thin walls so could hear the people in the next rooms moving around which wasn't ideal but nevertheless everything else about the room was excellent. The breakfast was superb, location was perfect, and the service from the staff was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stress free stay in the lovely city of Turin, and will definitely be returning in the future!

You hear people next door as if they were in your room, there are bugs crawling everywhere on the floor heater that makes noise....horrible stay. You smell the breakfast food all the way up in you 2nd floor bedroom from the basement....

Very good value for the money, especially for a single room. Very clean, spacious, coffe/tea maker in the room, one of the best breakfast I have ever had. They even offer gluten free items, not only bread, but several different types of pastries and cereals. Very close to the main train station, to the airport bus stop and it's downtown Turin. Just perfect!
