This is the first time that we have stayed at a hostel and we are absolutely delighted with our choice. We had chosen the location for its the closeness to the city centre and it was no more than 10 mins walk to the Piazza del Comune. The hostel itself was extremely clean , light and airy and very modern in decor. The overall effect was white walls and tiled floors with pops of orange to break the white. L'Archetto is the Italian name for the bow of the violin, ( which is appropriate in a town of violin makers,) and all the bedrooms, public rooms and corridors were decorated with large whimsical caricatures of a man or object standing on or near a bow, all painted in orange. It created a fun atmosphere! We had a private room with its own bathroom which was tiled in an up-to-date style. We did not need to use the excellent kitchen facilities or comfortable lounge area with a TV and computer as we were on an overnight stay. The staff spoke excellent English and were very obliging. Patty even let me use her own computer to check emails just before we had to leave. The area around is busy and there are many bars and cafes nearby. Cremona is easy to walk around and all the sights are near each other. Highly recommend the lovely gardens at Piazza Roma for a rest for tired feet. We would gladly stay at L'Archetto again. It does not fit our concept of a 'basic' hostel.

A minor problem. Not having enough information on whether it is possible to leave luggage at the hostel on arrival before check-in hours and how it can be arranged. This information would be useful to have on the website

This place is perfect for family. We stayed in the studio that can accomodate 5 persons with 4 true beds for a reasonnable price per person. It includes a kitchen fully equipped - dish washer - and benefits from efficient air-conditionning. The staff is great - warm, efficient, available, giving good advices. Travelers of the hotel sounded to be respectful. The hotel, which is quite monacal, is very clean, quite new and very quiet. It needs a 8-mn walk to reach the city center. A shopping center is nearby the hotel. We decided to stay one more night as we found the studio confortable. Cremona is a very interesting city with many concerts during summer. Surely to be recommanded.

The hostel is extremely clean and has a very well equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. It is only a short walk from the centre of the city if you work out which route to take. Friendly owners and deals with bars and restaurants which mean discounts! The reason I did not mark it as excellent was that it was a little souless and there was no chance really to socialise with other guests. However that could have been the time of year I came (low season).

We were very pleased with this Hostel. It was spotless , quiet snd comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with all pots, plates and utensils. The staff were very helpful and provided good suggestions for restaurants. There are bakeries, green gocers and a large supermarket nearby. We were on bikes so we had no problem cycling to all the attractions.
