We found this hotel very beautiful and special because is inside an old building with old Venetian architecture. It is is located in the center but they have a private parking to offer if you reach by car. The restaurant inside is of high level (with local food in the menu) and the service too.
The staff is nice and always ready to give support to the clients.

This is a beautiful hotel, in an ideal location in the centre of Ravenna. However, despite initial positive impressions, I would advise anyone who wishes to sleep to avoid staying at this hotel at all costs. My husband and I stayed for two nights, at the end of an extended, and well needed break in Italy . On the first night, we were unable to get any sleep until well after midnight due to loud music and people talking from the hotel bar. We tried to call reception but received little acknowledgement. On the following day, we again raised our concerns with the hotel staff. The receptionist assured us that she had ensured that the music would be switched off at 11.30pm and even purchased us some earplugs. At the time of writing, it is past midnight, and there is no sign of the music being switched off, or any indication as to when we might get any sleep. We have again tried to contact the hotel staff, who were dismissive and extremely rude. One member of staff even laughed at my husband for complaining about the noise level. They refused to make any attempts to find us an alternative, less noisy room, and suggested that this is what happens when you stay in a hotel in the city centre. Ravenna is a truly delightful city, but I would strongly advise anyone visiting this beautiful place to avoid staying at this hotel- that is, if they want to get any sleep!

Room tip: Do not stay on room 106. It is above the bar and extremely noisy.

This hotel really is in an ideal position to see all the sights of Ravenna. Our room was spacious and clean with a huge comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful and there was a nice continental breakfast provided. We had the window open at night and the noise from the street below was quite loud - this didn’t bother us however and we slept very well. The only negative was that the shower took a long time to heat up and wasn’t very powerful but this didn’t detract from our stay.

The hotel upgraded us to a suite. The room was large with a separate bedroom and another area with a lounge and a desk. The room was very clean and the furnishings looked very new. The staff are very passionate about the history of the building .The breakfast was good with excellence coffee.

Room tip: Given that this is a small hotel, any of the rooms would be Ok.

We went on a tour of Italy for our summer vacation and we stayed in great hotels, all highly rated on Tripadvisor. We stayed at the Albergo Cappello for the same reasons: great reviews on Tripadvisor and listed in the Michelin. So far so good. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is perfect: right in the centre of the old town of Ravenna. But we are sorry to say that neither the service nor the breakfast were up to the standards of a hotel which charges approx eur 150 a night for a standard room. For instance, we stayed 2 nights at the hotel and our room was cleaned (after we complained because it had not been done) only around 4-6pm the next day. The elevator broke down and my boyfriend ended up lugging heavy baggage down the staircase because no one could help (we are both able bodied people but what if we had not had the physical strength?). We walked in reception after a visit and we were able to take our hotel key without anyone seeing (we kept the key with us, thinking it was safer with us than with the hotel). The breakfast was nice but no hot food, and only one croissant per person (because we were told the other guests had eat all the others). These are little things but considering we spent 300 euros for 2 nights, and because we are in the position to compare this hotel with the others we went to during our tour, we were disappointed. Not good value for money.
